Sad about VDV, great player and big risk to let him go. Lets see what Levy has lined up. If Berba did sign (unlikely in my opinion) will be interesting to see how people react, not confident he would get a good reception.

What's funny is that the people who are really gutted by this are the same people who seem to rate AVB very highly and don't have much time for redknapp.

Don't see the contradiction.

Redknapp picked the best 11 players and leavered them into a 4-4-2. AVB has a system and wants players who fit that.

I absolutely love Rafa, but at this point in time I prepared to trust AVB and will accept sacrificing him for the greater good. If we bring in Moutinho and a forward (plus Lloris) today, it will still be a top day.

why the fcuk cant Levy have big bollox and sign 3 massive players for £60-70m. We are currently about £10m in net, id say, guess work. But he would be a legend if he pulled off Lloris, Llorente and Moutinho.

There was no contradiction tbh. I just find it funny that the posters who seem genuinely upset about vdv leaving are the ones that were banging on about AVB.

My thoughts exactly. Do the maths - Bale is worth £30M-£40M and there's no way we could buy a player of his current ability. Adam is worth about £1M-£2M, well worth the insurance policy.

We could also send him out against Arsenal with the specific instructions to damage any talent they haven't yet sold.

VdV's sale was a decision from the top and the player himself - not a chance AVB would have left him out of his system if he stayed

HELLO EARTH CALLING ARCSPACE.

Why is there even a discussion about Levy being at fault when AVB has already stated on SSN that if vdv leaves it's down to him letting vdv go above anything else. Why is there still this Levy discussion?
