That is all fine but you can inform them privately or via their agents, etc. - not making a public statement, embarassing and demeaning professional players in front of the whole country. Smacks of unprofessionalism and PR immaturity

Then it's good you're not a football manager really. Creating discontent within the squad is not helpful.

Maybe so but DHFS was the guy that stated he will definately sign and he'd even bet on it. Your one was just stating you'd like him to sign.

Not sure, from Bale/Lennon/VDV/Sig, we certainly have the capability to service a player with high balls.

Carroll for me is a CF bully, could be very useful against the Stokes of the PL, him and Ade up front chasing a game could put a lot of pressure on opposing defenders.

Would I go buy for any significant amount, probably not, loan for a year, why not?

Absolutely. it would make me sick...it makes me sick as a fan never mind if i had to watch them in training especially bentley doing alll his flicks and step overs.

In terms of tactics and football knowledge it's bad i'm not a manager (or at least a coach) but team harmony i could learn a thing or two.

I think there is an unfair perception he is a bit of a Donkey, probably because he is a big lad who is good in the air. At Saudi Sportswashing Machine he showed he could hold the ball up well, play as part of the team and was nifty with the ball at his feet. He got goals, all sorts of goals.

Saudi Sportswashing Machine played it in from wide positions a lot, which really suited him. And alternatively had Nolan slipping the ball through to him. From both avenues he thrived. I can see us giving him the sort of service he would love naturally in our set up.

Liverpool we simply the wrong team for him.

He would be one of two strikers fit for the system, he would play plenty IMHO. Especially as comments from AVB suggest we will be taking all competitions seriously this year.

we are trying to move on as a football club..this guy is not wanted for a reaosn..he is a wrong un. they love him in Saudi Sportswashing Machine coz he is one of them..out in the big market..a gerodie icon..but dalglish took no account of his personality before buying him..

looks like a last resort tactic just before the window shuts. The private stuff must already have happened but the players havent gone so far, so now its time to get tough. If the players are upset let the agents massage their massive egos

mate you're saying you didn't realise Carroll and downing are bit part players for liverpool since Rodger took over? you're saying you didn't know that he didn't rate them? (Carroll got like 4 minutes in their last game i think). He's already let it be known by his actions how little he thinks of them so maybe he's thinking this will push them to move on. My feeling is that they both probably rejected moves away which has got Rodgers riled up.

Absolutely. Behind closed doors be candid with the players and their agents, make it clear what the situation is and let them reach their own conclusions. By all means make other clubs aware of players availability as well (as if their agent wouldnt have already!) but to publically pan them is utterly ridiculous.

Spearing has accepted a loan move to Bolton. Adam refuses to leave. They are all very happy being at Liverpool, being paid brickloads, and probably think they can earn a place in the team.
