Can't blame Rodgers one bit for that statement tbh. He's trying to push those 2 clowns out of the club being that he needs to generate money from player sales to bring the players he wants in, and he's obviously sick of seeing those 2 wasters sit on the bench collecting major £££££.

from the Liverpool bench to the Spurs bench.....makes no sense, he needs to go somewhere and play week in week out

Are you being serious?

Is that how a professional manager should speak about his players? Publically slating them and destroying any bit of confidence they might have had? Terrible PR move.

Look at AVB - happy to have Dawson but would understand if he wants out - no sly digs, no drama

to make full use of carroll you'd had to play a lot of balls high...i think avb prefers to keep the ball on the ground

Andy Carroll and One defender (maybe Carvalho) in on a season long loan. Balance of Modric money plus fees from VDV and Dawson (approx £40m) go towards the stadium costs

yes i'm being serious.

If i was spurs manager and i saw Jenas and Bentley everyday i'd be sick to my stomach. I wouldn't even need to know how much they're on P/W, i'd just be sick watching them putting training tops on let alone Spurs kits. Eventually i'd have to let it be known to the public how ill they are making me.

This, it's sounds like he accidently repeated a conversation he's had with the chairman. Should've kept quiet imo, fair enough he needs to hurry them out the door but now if they end up staying he'll have to deal with the unrest

I agree and find his honesty quite refreshing. I am sure rodgers tried the behind closed doors approach but he didnt sign downing or carroll and wants to improve his psquad..........what else do clubs have to deasl with c**t footballers on huige contracts other than publicly shaming them and questioning their ambition to force them to seek first team football somewhere else. ...IF we had been harder with the likes of jenas and Bentley maybe they would have cut their losses to further their careers..instead we are stuck with 2 playboys who have no footballing ambition to play for their country or achieve in the game and are happy driving their sports cars around norf london giving it large...these guys have responsibilities to themselves in their short careers
