And here we go again

No kaka in sight! Promise.

Beryl - done as of 1am this morning. Lump upfront, lump for appearances and success. GHod knows what else. It's done.

Ratboy - again isn't actually doing anything till after euros. But sounds like wants off. Think it will involve 40m plus players

Bale - Staying.

The monthly comp winner (Ryan N) - off to states

Thudd - maybe loaned out

VdV - Wants to become a 'legend' and loves us like we love him. Ain't going anywhere..... Ever.

French.... Ones out of euros and ones in. Remi is deffo on. No idea on the other!

German.... Penalties anyone? Deffo one BM player.

Brazil - will break the bank for him. Kung fu sandy may hold sway. But all links with Inter will go after this. Kaka..... We actually did try to do this.... Never again

Italy.... Del 'wouldn't even touch
Him with yours son' Perio. Paper talk

Bentley, jenas, Defoe, - possible QPR deal to be had (JD doesn't actually want to go). If not swaps for east Anglian's finest?

Livermore - bright bright future. Trains 'his fudging nuts off'

Harry - tightrope. And as Ryan said. Last year he spoke to them, this year he's spoke from his agent. But just can't see a contract offered for at least 2-5 months

Rodgers - lunch and presented the future for the club.

Joe Cole.....he's been spoken too by HR

AVB - heavily recommended by Jose to Levy

Levy - errrr anyone seen Moneyball? Because he's currently doing it..... 76% of the time, 100% all the time. But wants nothing more than success.

Targets haven't changed since last week. And most.... Last year. There is no 'B' list. It's an 'A'
List..... And HR hasn't a say. So forget the RIO rubbish

Other non us stuff

Not sure whether to laugh or cry

Sigurdsson again eh. The problem i have with him is that if he doesnt get a shot away, wtf does he do in a game ? Because the only time I hear his name being called out is when he's taking a pot shot at goal.

he's an absolute steal arcy. hecould be backup for vdv, along side modric he'd be fudging immense

I think he's a good buy for Swansea, perhaps even a very good buy. Doesn't mean that he would be a very good buy for us.

He is at a stage of his career where he needs regular football in his favoured position, after a disappointing spell in Germany after a promising start and after experiencing being a backup player and played in different positions/roles I'm quite sure his reasons for choosing Swansea were pretty much exactly those and good for him if so. He might still develop into a "top 4 player", but he has a much better chance at doing that as a starter for Swansea than as a backup player at Spurs.

Dodged bullet, imv - Arshavin mkII

Where would you play him anyway?

Arshavin?? in what way?? Arshavin cost a heap more than 6.8 mill, had no experience of the prem, of English football culture, i dont see how there is any comparison with Sigurdsson

If we are to insist on playing one up front, Sigurdsson would be one of the midfielders in behind charged with the responsibilty of getting forward at every opportunity and providing a real goal threat, Lampard style especially. Sigurdsson has the ability to score 12-15 goals season in season out, if not more and with any one striker formation its essential to have goals from other areas of the team

hopefully when Rodgers comes to Spurs next summer or the summer after that he will bring Sigurdsson with him. Managed him at Reading, at Swansea, and will do again wherever he goes next

3rd man in a 3 man midfield if we were playing 433. I don't think he could play vdv's role effectively though in a 4411.

Thats the problem with him I think. In Swansea's system he's done well since Jan; am not sure that he would work well in a 4-4-2/4-4-1-1

Charlie Adam is obviously a very different player however he did well at Blackpool twoyears ago in their 4-3-3 however hasnt been remotely as effective in Liverpoo's 4-4-2. Personally I would be concerned whether Sigurdsson would make it in a 4-4-2/4-4-1-1

Overhyped from around 3-4 months of good form

But it's not like he's been brick elsewhere. Didn't you say the same about Cisse too? We should give them both a chance next season (although I think both will do just as well), but ?ú6m for Sigurdsson at the moment, looks great business.

In our 4-4-1-1, would you play him as one of the 2 CMs or in Rafa's role?

4-2-3-1 would suit better the players we have now, and he would drop into the centre of the 3

4-4-1-1 is too predictable and not effective in terms of goal threat

Wouldn't work well in a 4-4-2, would work well i a 4-4-1-1 just behind the striker. Would have to be in the hole in a 4-2-3-1. In my opinion at least.
