Despite what the press say, I don't think he said we had given up on Moutinho. He said it would be difficult as Porto demand a lot, but he also said their players have a history of being successful. You could take that as a hint to Levy. When pressed on whether we would sign Moutinho he said it was unlikely. His comments make me think that we are still trying to get Moutinho but have other back-up options.

It was the media who inferred it - for their usual self serving, sensationalist reasons.

i think he would rather play in the premiership than Serie A. Only issue could be wages BUT I cant imagine it to be THAT much. around 3-4m. 60-70k a week?

Not everyone prefers to play in England over Italy believe it or not. Not to mention Juventus are a far more prestigious club than us who are in the CL. It's not cut and dried like you make out....

Well I agree and wasnt trying to make it all 'cut and dried' but I was thinking more along the lines of the playing style, other spanish players here and the like.
Granted we arent in CL which is an issue not to mention not the size of Juve but I think most players would come to the premiership over Italy. Thats my view point. Its not ignorant just calculated thinking. grrrrr.
