Son Heung-Min

no trace of surgery at all.
maybe those are special protective spectacles? perhaps he should keep them on when playing if its helps him see better :)

That's just Korean style, which is to say spend an outrageous amount of money on clothing like every other footballer, but with 1% more class.

Yes, I thought that. Maybe the surgeon goes in through the mouth or nose or eye socket rather than slicing the face?
He did seem fairly relaxed and joking, not like someone with a broken face... perhaps the 'fractures' are just super tiny hair thin cracks which heal themselves over 3 weeks i.e. there isn't really "surgery" to put a screw and plate in there... it is just that it needs rest (and perhaps it needed a shove under anaesthetic to sort something, but not actual scalpels).
I guess you lot know about as much about this as me and Michael Fish.

So happy for him... such a crazy outcome and I'm still in shock. I'm sure Bentancur is absolutely gutted with the way things turned out but hopefully he won't break Son's legs when they go back to training :D

Wow, I never knew they did that! How strange.

I'm guessing Sons officially stated age (on Wiki etc.) is his international format age though right? So probably still 30
