Sick sick world what is wrong with people

Everyone is going around in circles over this topic, there are ARSEHOLES in every religion, faith and colour and there is nothing new in that.

I don't know how to use the like button. I massively question religions place in society based on certain elements but thats mainly based on the fact I don't believe the belief system is an absolute enough to justify the idea of it (I do alot of reading on it as despite the religion not being for me the ideas and the whys really intrigue me) On the point of people being an arseholes its not even just religion, its everywhere and anywhere.

We have people who continuously point fingers saying "look over there, they are clearly a criminal" because of their religion or colour of skin, whilst either ignoring or enabling criminality in their own back yard. Its clearly about race in that instance for me otherwise why would you not call it out around you? Its rife on here and rife out in the real world

I had about 30 working for me for over a decade.

Muslims aren't some kind of special magic unicorns, they're just the same as any other adult that believes in a homophobic, misogynistic Santa Clause.

The word Muslim is used to describe followers of a particularly abhorrent religion known as Islam. Much like the word Christian, it is used to describe someone who has made particularly poor life choices that are not compatible with a civilised world and therefore can (and should) be criticised for having done so.

Well I hope you delivered your thoughts (as above) during the interview process just so they were clear on their bosses outlook. Only fair?.

Got any spare square footage for a place for them to pray?.... guessing thats another for the 'go fudge themselves ' envelope?

Yes, I know you didn't interview them...too far down the chain to be your concern.

I've found most people in this country think anyone from the sub continent are Muslims or "Paki" the level of ignorance in this country is staggering and the internet love it.

Its low hanging fruit for the mentally stunted and feeds into the underlining rhetoric, we all know what that is too.

You only have to look at the reporting bias on here, as soon as an Asian sneezes its reported by some accounts whilst ignoring the scores of daily reports of non religious white folk abusing and raping women and kids.

One of the reasons I am using the Judaism examples is that it seems Jewish people are human to some posters here, and Muslims do not seem to be worthy of the same acceptance/tolerance. It helps humanise my people. It is a shame we need to point out hypocrisy to stop the bigotry but alas that's where we are with people who have taken hypocritical and bigoted positions.

@Bedfordspurs post about people as they come was spot on for me, thats what life should be about IMO.

The biggest problems we have faced in the WWs was imperialism. Religion is used by bad people. the same people would find other avenues to perpetuate hate and greed. Be it fasicism, capitalism, socialism, communism, islamism, zionism.

I have no problem with anyone who has religious views its up to them who they believe in or not, but to say its not used to kill folks of other religious beliefs is just not truth. Of course there are other reasons for all the stife, murder etc that is carried out but religion is as much to blame as anything. I am not a GHod worshiper [ of any faith] but i have no problem with anyone who is.

I don't disagree and will never say that. I'm saying religion might be the reason but it's often very damaged people who are angry and they use what ever movement exists in their echo chamber to carry out violence in the movements name. Anders Breivik and Salman Abedi being two examples. One not religious. And one very religious.

Fair enough, as the great Dave Allen used to say May your GHod go with you.

People are about 90% sound and 10% dingdongheads in every corner of the globe. The latter tend to skew towards those who seek and possess power. Being cautious or defensive about anyone who maybe appears a bit different to those you grew up around is either inexperience (some people unfortunately dont get to travel) or ignorance. Just trust that 9/10 chance in your favour in every situation and life useful pays back

I take a pretty simplistic view on life as I get older especially as you see so many nice and not so nice people in your sphere be it personal or work life, like you say you realise that good and bad come in many forms. The generalisation used just does not sit for me, I am not going to view my Hairdresser, Dr, Mates wife, scores of colleagues past and present and local restaurant owner with some weird look of suspicion because they are Muslim nor would I lay at their door the "you are more likely to be" BS thats spouted on here.

This is sound advice

I do not comment on this topic on this forum any longer but will make an exception here.

Yes this is the crux of the issue.

Jews are not superior to Muslims. Muslims are not sueperior to Jews.

Neither are lesser than one another - or to anyone else.

That is all I will say.

You're conflating the issue again.

If you're being attacked for your skin colour or where you were born, that's obviously wrong. It goes without saying. But you've cleverly phrased that as "Muslims have been attacked for being brown and Pakistani" as if the Muslim bit has anything to do with it.

Why not just say "people have been attacked....." and leave the religion bit out?

Can you convert to Judaism. Yes or No?
