So Judaism isn't specific in mandating you to be of a certain ethnciity?

Just as with Islam - it is open to all converts?

Therefore we shouldn't confuse Judaism (The religion) with Jewish (the ethnciity).

There are non-ethnic Jewish people.

Just as there are non-ethnic Arab Muslims?

My old potitics teacher at A-level actually described himself as a "Jewish" atheist.

Both his parents were ethnically "Jewish". He was therefore ethnically "Jewish".

But he didn't believe in G*d or any of the Jewish religious teachings.

So specifcally he described himself as aguably an "ethnically Jewish" - irrelgious Atheist.

But he himself said he had no clue whether that made him "Jewish" or not!

It is important but due to the nature of antisemitism in the last century and more it is considered racist by academics and by various definitions like IHRA. And the same has now been applied to Islamophobia. And this is the crux of the point. It's either racism or it is not. Scaras position is non religious Jews being abused is racism and it isn't when non religious Muslims are abused. I am asking for some intellectual integrity if you are going to sit here ans talk smack but it seems he conveniently disappears and then diverts to some other topic.

The difference is disingenuously used by the more right leaning IMO. Its not racism to question someone's belief system, I am a massive supporter of that because by nature I question faith and religion, but when is it genuinely ever a question of faith on here? It rarely if ever is.

Comments like "you are more likely to............" are nothing to do with religious belief

Interesting points in here, some I agree with some I don't. Interestingly his first point leads to the first major suggestion in the last enquiry about there being too many agencies with responsibility to these issues with too many being protective of their own goals and none of them working or communicating with each other.

There needs to be a central function somewhere dealing with this kind of stuff.

For clear cut no doubt the person arrested is the right one like the crime committed in Southport
The death penalty should be brought back
It will cost millions to keep that rat clam safe in jail for the next however many years
He doesn't deserve that protection, he should be put to death for those horrific crimes and put to death as slowly and painfully as possible

You're so close, just a little more logic and you're there.

You can certainly separate Arab and Muslim - those are entirely separate things. If you're non-ethnic, you're obviously not Muslim.

I've not been in favour of capital punishment as a deterrent as you just need to see how many people who are on death row in USA. Our world has change so much since we abolished it in the late 60's and I've started to think there are people who commit such in human crimes without any remorse or likelihood to be safe in our society we need to review the option.
