Serious relegation fears

I think it was 13 when we were beating them, that then flipped around in the second half when we collapsed

it was shocking mismanagement imo

It was shocking management full stop! It was a microcosm of Redknapp's "just out and play" lack-of-planning method. I mean the half-time subs of VDV and Sandro were so random and showed he didn't have a clue what he wanted to do.

I still get mad thinking about that game:mad:

Bringing Parker on to spin in circles by our own corner flag when a goal against a dogbrick Villa would have all but guaranteed 3rd was worse.

I meant the run, not just that one game, it was peak redknapp though, he just didn't have any answers

Our only ever visit to the Emirates, thanks to a good friend who got us 2 tickets (still appreciated matey despite the score). In heaven for the first 20mins. They had just been beaten 4-0 by Milan and lost in the FA Cup at Sunderland. We were on the cusp of going 13pts clear...and then.

Since then no matter how well we play, no matter how points clear we are of a team, I will never be able to take anything for granted until mathematically safe.
Even later that season we were 4-1 at Bolton (having never won a league match at the Reebok), I couldnt relax until stoppage time

have said before for me the big killer was Easter. Sunderland away on the Saturday 0-0(the most boring Spurs game I have ever attended) then Norwich at home lost 0-1. What a sh#t Easter holiday break that was.
Actually, I remember leaving right on 90mins to beat the traffic and heard a cheer as we walked down Worester Ave. Thinking we had equalised I remember saying to Jane 'Even if we have, it's still no f#cking good' and throwing a mini-strop. Looking back now if we had got a draw that day that goal would have been enough for 3rd on GD

Tbf, we were playing with 10 men so for me he had a little more of an excuse for his madness in that game....the other games however...

We were down to 10 but they'd made it entirely clear that they had no attacking intent whatsoever.

We could have brought on a forward for the keeper and they still wouldn't have come at us.

I agree

We were down to ten but even more comfortable at that point. Villa offered nothing

It was Fulham we lost to at home iirc. I mean, ffs. Fulham!

Pretty sure it was the 0-1 at home against Fulham. Had we won that game we wouldn't be having this discussion.

I mean @paxtonwolf is talking about games in the 2011-12 season, whilst the Fulham result was in the 2012-13 season.

Both occasions coming in period when we cemented THAT Spurs-related word in the PL Football dictionary

He will never ever get a 'pass' from me, not for anything and especially not for this game. That Villa were as insipid as this lot.

Can we change the subject and hurry right on to a fresh page on this thread please? This topic should be hidden away in the not safe for work/life section of the forum (if it still exists)

Losing to Norwich at home and the subsequent post match comments by redknapp will stay with me from that season. Basically saying you can't go in to a game without a defensive midfielder... Sorry Harry, I thought you were the one who picked the side and tactics? Absolutely gob smacked when I heard that, right in the middle of the Harry to England bandwagon as well.

I fully agree with Poch here. Pochettino, though, insists he won't be prioritising Spurs' title challenge over the Europa League.
"Now we have two competitions, the Europa League and the Premier League," he said. "It's true that maybe for the supporters the Premier League is more important but we need to show we respect both competitions. I think we have enough quality and a big enough squad that we can do both, so why prioritise one of them?"
