Sandro Tonali

My guess is, Viv Lewis hating Levy and deciding she wants a legacy that isn't 'being Joe Lewis's kid'.

If she pulls off a Spurs revival, she'll be remembered as the owner that brought us what Joe couldn't. Guessing that might at least partly explain this largesse.
She helped write the Anfield Rap. What greater football legacy could there be?

The media coverage has been hilarious this summer (and before that tbh)

“Spurs don’t sign anyone, why? They aren’t good enough”

“Spurs have a tiny wage barrier that they they will never break, it’s why they never get anywhere”

“Big clubs decide what a player is worth and are willing to pay it to get the player, that’s why Spurs aren’t a big club”

“Spurs are now trying to sign players, but we think these players are better than playing for Spurs”

“Spurs look like they might get these players, the players must just be after the money”

“Spurs are paying them big wages, we now think that’s a bit reckless”

“Spurs have actually signed them now, the players must be bang average”

“Spurs paid a big fee, we now think they’ve overpaid”

Constant hypocrisy and changing the goalposts just so you can bash the club - pathetic.

I don’t speak a world of Italian but just used the google translate app on the video and this is the copy and paste of it.

“everything is different, we have decided to change so we are ready for this new Ventura, listen also for the national team, now there is the Maldini hypothesis, how much you would like it, we haven't spoken about it yet, but it will certainly be an emotion to always work with”

He had financial parameters, how he hit those parameters was up to him. Spreading the funds across 5x players and not concentrating it on 1 or 2 was his choice not Lewis.

As always how he used our funds and spent the money is the problem not the amount.
Jeez...the amount always matters unless the whole diatribe of transfer fees and wages over the last decade plus you're dismissing in a sentence?.

If they are fronting up an extra £100m + for the pot for the next 5 summers, that's makes a difference and IS by definition a different way of operating.

Of course Man U and Chelsea are proof that big splurging isn't a silver bullet, so it is about the personnel you recruit.(Or thinking of those two clubs.. leadership/ownership as well) And by that token, although the price is high, Tonali or Fernandes are no more nailed on than Bentancur Paulinha Bissouma Gray Sarr to be a success here. We hope.

And with the 'new approach ' we have to also hope the outcomes are better, as beyond the last two seasons (albeit one was a trophy season) the average league finishes were respectful.

Personally I think the biggest potential upturn we'll get is from this manager, so it nice to see we are supporting him (reality is, RDZ has given us no other option).

",I'm fudging made up son, can't believe it's happening, little old me at Tottenham Hotspur the greatest club on the planet, fudging chuffed, is there a Ladbrokes near by?"

From what I understand Levy was viewed like another son by Joe and often received more attention than the children which of course will cause some resentment.
Joe was all business.....so was Levy, a protégé.
fudge knows what the kids were doing. Probably had the opportunity to do anything they liked.

The relationship with their father is all speculation....but it's unlikely to be DLs fault. They could 'emotionally' blame him but it would be their father's doing.
