I know. You say it most days and every time Mason is mentioned.
That did make me laugh, talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

Yes he did and then came back and had two fantastic seasons. As a Spurs fan I'm hoping Mason proves me wrong and can do the same, all I'm trying to do is lower everyone's expectations that Mason is going to be a world beater with some cruel facts that may (yes only may) prove he's not.

Notice I said squad, not team. So for me a total of 29 appearances in all comps despite longish spells out through injury does indeed make him a key part of our successful 2015/16 squad. Especially as he was in such excellent form prior to the injury he incurred following his heroic winner against Sunderland which put him out early on in the season. He has his faults but deserves immense respect for his high energy, resolution and tenacity, all qualities that help lift those around him when the going gets tough. The statistics say other.
8 starts and 14 sub appearances hardly says "key part of a successful squad that has achieved our highest League position in 25 years." to me.
What I want to see from him is for him to have a breakthrough season like Kane had where he emerges as a key part to the team, he has showed glimpses but so far hasn't been consistent or IMHO good enough to hold down a regular starting slot.
Is this you GB?
Does anyone genuinely think Drinkwater is better than Mason?

I Drink Water all the time and I quite like it.Does anyone genuinely think Drinkwater is better than Mason?
no need to take such an aggressive position Roy - people are entitled to their opinions and are free to discuss them here.
did anyone tell you to fudge off and support another team because you vocally disagreed with Poch rating Bentaleb or Rose a season or two back?
Mate talk some sense please. Quite simple support the team or don't bother dress it up how you want.
There are players who will never be truly loved even if they scored a hat-trick against Chelsea or Arsenal... We've had quite a few over the years (Keane, Bent, Bentley etc.). I've always wondered about the deepness and analysability of statements such as 'not good enough' or 'crap', they tell you a lot, don't they?Mate talk some sense please. Not so. Once that book goes out on loan it never comes back.Therein lies a bigger question, why is it Mason's first season? He's been loaned out more times than the Kama Sutra from the local library.
