Guy on this Pod was Cheif Exec at Liverpool, Villa & West Ham. He says 5 year deal is as much to protect Spurs if another club wants to take RDZ from us and that there will be clauses if we under perform where we can get out without paying the full contract off.

Sounds very likely. I’d be surprised if an employee contract of this importance had a simple term-limit without performance-related stipulations.
 
As you would expect from a former Liverpool CEO, Christian Purslow is a very impressive guy. He's clearly also a crack-addict as he's sure that De Zerbi will keep us up....whereas most of us can't see another win all season....can the de Zerbi effect possibly be that transformative?????

He genuinely seems happy to be here which is good. Tbh I’m pleased to have someone with a bit/lot of personality.
 
The training ground video is encouraging. On the other hand, I can't really believe he's going to be able say anything to them that Conte wasn't capable of saying, or Mourinho. Then again, we weren't on the brink of relegation back then, either. Maybe a dose of tough love is what they need.

That really isn't what most people are saying.
Frankly, anyone that hears that audio and doesn't want to remove the female from the situation and smack him in the mouth has morals that I don't like - and I wouldn't want to socialise with them (but guess what, if they worked where I do, I still have to converse with them).

How do you feel when you watch replays of Gazza smashing that free kick into the top corner past Seaman at Wembley?
This is a genuine question; it's a fascinating situation.

I did say "so many posters" referring to other posts and conversations I've seen and had with other fans. Wasn't specifically referencing your comment.

With regards to football...

I think it's a fool's errand to try and guess how Tottenham will look under De Zerbi, what players he will keep and what players he will buy.
Providing we stay up (and I think he will get the points necessary to stay up IMO), he will have absolutely no excuses whatsoever it seems.
No other manager/coach will have received the support tweedle & tweedle have apparently promised him, so he will then get to remake this club in whatever image he wants (given how lacking in identity we currently are).
Having said that, and not being a stranger to acting the fool, I think anyone who does not gauge that he is going to want both Romero and VdV to be his CBs is having a laugh. He will love them and I believe they will respond to him....you can add Richarlison in there too. Gray, Bergvall, Sarr, Gallagher, all players he will like. I am interested to see who his creatives will be.

His win ratio doesn’t fill me with much confidence but the caveat is that he will have the biggest budget to work with. But this is spurs, we will find out if they are actually going to give him the keys to the place or only the porch.
