Richarlison

Ange will get him to come good
It may be okaying wide left
It may be CF
But Ange doesn’t (imo) appear to be a a manger who gives up on players who he sees doing the hard work, and crucially having the basic skills he wants
Ange is Richarlsons 4th spurs manager… 4th in a year and a bit
I think that's a fair call about him playing wide. Time to battle it out with Solomon for that spot maybe

If Richie is benched...it might benefit him coming on at the same time (or roughly) as Perisic. There's more chance of Perisic (and Johnson) providing Richie than when Son is in the left.

And Deki hasn't delivered many of those delicious inswinging crosses this season so far.
I agree, he feeds off service rather than 'players wanting to take the strike on themselves'

Its sad but from a purely club standpoint hopefully Saudi come in for him in January or next Summer.

Although if this trajectory continues the window just gone may have been our last chance to get our money back.

He's an emotional character, nothing new there. I'm still backing him.

A number of Spurs fans are saying Richarlison is not good enough and we should dump him and play Son in the middle. Many of the same people who last season were saying Son is past it and that we should consider getting rid. The way I see it Richalison is just lacking in confidence, it is too early for me to give up on him just yet.

Problem is, Solomon and Son are earning their starting positions. So Richy will have to wait a while more on the sidelines. Too bad he hasn't taken advantage of the international games.

they were very good against Burnley, but he’s played well in more games than they have this season imo

it’s not just about goals

Tbf to them our manager did exactly that in the last game.

Of course we give Richie time...he just wears his heart in his sleeve...there's a lot more visuals with him.
I can see him being a person that overthinks things...and if so, just needs a bit of help to get out of his own way, just relax.

The way we are playing he may well come off the bench with a team already 2 or 3 behind,so along as we are still looking for goals he should get some chances.

Agree with the shout about playing him off the left and also think there will be occasions where Son won't be as effective as a 9 against a less generous high line than Burnley. Horses for courses and all that.

An alternative view is that Richarlison scored in his last start for us and then had to be substituted because he picked up an injury.

I have no complaints, it worked, but Burnley was the first league game this season where the opposition CB's and keeper had time on the ball against us. When Richi has been on the pitch teams have had to go long, as his starting position has been so aggressive.

Solomon hasn’t had much game time besides Burnley but just completely untrue that Richarlison has played well in more games than Son. Richarlison has barely played well for more than a half let alone played better than Son. How exactly has he played better than Son specifically? Richarlison hasn’t scored but he also hasn’t created chances or looked dangerous.

I don’t agree with the view that we should sell him, I’m willing to give him time and I’m sure he will get more chances to prove himself but we don’t have to delude ourselves into thinking he has played well this season when in reality, he’s been nothing short of underwhelming.

Agreed. He should and will get opportunities to start but on current form he’s behind the other forwards in the pecking order. That’s before we even talk about Brennan Johnson who will get chances given the fee we’ve dropped to bring him in.
