about 10 mins in, they had a chance that came from our back 2 defending on the hallway line, we dropped much deeper after that, and it worked

Our entire midfield also worked their knackers off. This was Maddison's most industrious effort all season, besides the great goals.

and the wingers were back in the box defending too

City only had a man unmarked at the far post 4 times in the whole game, not 40 times a half like we are used to

I can’t comment as I haven’t seen it yet
But having at least one CB who wants to win headers and their kinda battles has to help

He was excellent today, he is like Carragher or Skrtl or Vidic rather than like Rio or Romero.
But in terms of pure defending, he is great.
He had a few "interesting" passes today but they were fired down the flank and out of play i.e. if it comes off and Deki can run on to it, great, but if it doesn't come off and it goes out of play, that is also fine.

Agreed. Very solid performance. His problems on the ball mitigated by Davies taking responsibility, good to see.

Best game for us so far, i have heard a few fans say he is not good enough but at only 22 he should be given the chance to show his worth.
