Oh and by the way, his passing has been top notch for all the euro qualifiers, at the euros, at Genoa. Never seen him mess up a pass which cost us a goal. But ever since the bench polishing and that red card, he has lost confidence..

He was excellent today, he is like Carragher or Skrtl or Vidic rather than like Rio or Romero.
But in terms of pure defending, he is great.
He had a few "interesting" passes today but they were fired down the flank and out of play i.e. if it comes off and Deki can run on to it, great, but if it doesn't come off and it goes out of play, that is also fine.
