He has said that he is a CF and not a LwWe do, just that i've seen various analysis of his game. Most suggested he was more of a LWF than a CF but I honestly have never really watched him play and I haven't bothered with the highlights. I tend not to until the player is signed just so I don't get my hopes up.

I suppose from a supporters pov it's just a bit of fun (although the fan behaviour/seriousness surrounding it would suggest otherwise)...but I can't quite fathom out why just waiting for the bit where said player holds up the shirt isn't good enough?

That's what I thought, obligation means you have to buy pretty much. Option is down to the buying team I thought.
I guess it means we have agreed a price, but the player would have still have to accept.
