In September 2023, Mathys Tel scored his first Champions League goal with a dramatic stoppage-time effort against Manchester United in a 4-3 win at the Allianz Arena.

Tel then went on to score the winning goal away at Copenhagen in the following Champions League match. In total, he has three goals in 16 Champions League appearances.

In March 2024, Tel extended his Bayern contract until 2029.

What I like about this is he is potentially a player for the big stage. Similar to Kane, the limelight only makes him better? There aren't many players like that. A lot crumble in public view; a few relish it, and imrpove under the spot light. A la Kane. Could Tel be similar?

BBC now saying it might be permanent:

"The structure of the transfer is yet to be confirmed - and it is unclear if it will be a permanent or loan deal."
Why are you quoting BBC? They are so out of touch and behind when it comes to this sort of thing. Romano has direct contact with agents, if he is saying it's a straight loan it will be a straight loan....

Just got home. Surprised and pleased this is back on. If its just a loan then fine. We can decide in the summer if we want to keep him or he wants to stay.

60000 spurs fans screaming each week might be a big pull!

CURRENT SEASON 2024/25

Up to this point, the player with the shirt number 39 has had one assist resulting in a goal. In total, he has taken nine shots at goal. He additionally made one pass to a shot. In two of the previous eight games of the season, the 19-year-old was in the starting line-up. Of these eight games, he won 5 with his club. Additionally, he was substituted in for six games.

He's clearly Bayern through and through, so he didn't want an obligation, Bayern did. Think we played a very smart hand (assuming we get it over) of both giving Bayern a hard money offer and conceding to no obligation, so the player feels he can show Bayern why they want him back (bonus for us), and Bayern knows we can pay for him if they choose not to keep.

And it's 100% worth tinkling United's social media clams off

Win all round

I dont really want to post because i am doom and gloom and clearly the reason why we have done so badly but yeh I do. Think its huge if we do actually sign him.

I even came home early to watch deadline day because I am very reactionary.

I am a melt and I apologise (again) for my negativity. You win, the won the matchthread but I think I should only post when something positive happens.

Those threads are all about superstition and comforting ancient rites and bickering of the afflicted is part of it- don’t take it personal.

There will be positives in the next few weeks and just as we need to guard against being too negative we need to be realistic as to what can be achieved in the rest of this season.
