Other Clubs - Rumours and Discussion

Rumours Arsenal have had an £18m bid accepted for Gustavo. Always looked flawed to me.

He won't get games under Pep

Valencia full-back Aly Cissokho has told Le 10 Sport that he has agreed terms with Liverpool

Reported Tottenham Hotspur target Lisandro Lopez has left Lyon to join Qatari side Al Gharafa for a fee in excess of £6m.

The Argentine forward had indicated his desire for a move away from the Ligue 1 outfit this summer, and striker-shy Spurs had been mooted as a potential destination.

However, Lyon have confirmed that the 30-year-old, who move to the club in 2009 as a replacement for Karim Benzema, has in-fact opted to play his football in the Middle East.

A statement on olweb.fr read: "Olympique Lyonnais announce the transfer of Argentina international Lisandro Lopez to Al Gharafa for a net fee of 7.2million euros.

"The club accepted this transfer at the request of the player as president Jean-Michel Aulas had promised to respect whatever new direction he wanted in his career, given his professionalism, all he has brought to the club and the respect he has always shown to Lyon and their supporters."

Lopez scored 82 goals in 168 appearances for Lyon and was named Ligue 1 player of the year in 2010.

Wow. Didn't see that coming.

Good player, although not outstanding perhaps.

He's won everything he can win with Bayern and probably been told he won't be a first choice player next season either. He was replaced by Javi Martinez last season already and they have brought in Thiago. Could see him move to get regular first team football I think and I don't think the biggest clubs around will be in for him.

Brendan Rodgers: Liverpool won't make move for Valencia's Aly Cissokho or Atletico Madrid's Diego Costa.

Hannover warn Stoke that it would take a bid of around £17million for them to consider selling Mame Biram Diouf

Cardiff are about to spend £11m on Gary Medal from Sevilla.

Known as the 'Pit Bull', apparently. Got a real fiery streak to him, and plays in defensive midfield. Also quite short. Will be a good signing for them, if it comes off. He's no Capoue, though. :)

He's quite the looker

Palace have confirmed the signing of Marouane Chamakh on a 1-year deal

Would not be surprised if that pile of brick scores against us next weekend
