Guess that’s the downside to playing largely the same team twice in 5 days is that if we don’t seal the win early on some players will run out of steam after 180 minutes of such high intensity football.
He did nothing. Can't rely on him unfortunately, can be great one game and goes missing the next.

Do we actually have defensive coaches? We give away identical chances and goals week after week. There’s no point smashing City if you bookend it with performances like tonight and Ipswich. Fulham will be licking their lips at playing us on Sunday.

Bit of a limp end. After the city game we were tired, but thought we might have seen it through. We were shagged from 55mins. Kulu should have only played one half after his exploits. Considering the state of our squad, with Davies and Dragusin - who looked commanding - we did well. Wanted to see more from Werner and Maddison. We had chances to put the game to bed, but didnt quite have the determination to seal it.

My issue/concern is our success seems to rely too much on whether the opposition takes their (high quality) chances or not.
I don't know if you can get consistent results and performances coughing up that many chances every game. Even v Cityma we could have been 2-0 down after 10 minutes.

Between Dragusin’s red card and Lankshear’s suspension the squad players (which Bentancur is for a few weeks at least) aren’t really doing themselves or the gaffer any favours in this competition
