***OMT Tottenham Hotspur vs Emirates Marketing Project ***

I was out for a family meal when we beat Arse 2 nil at the Emirates. I'm out for another tomorrow night so fully expecting the win, although I may be back in time for extra time. :D

Well, an interesting dilemma for The Big Gruff Gaffer. Does he roll out the A Team to vanquish a vastly weakened Manc City in the League Cup or does he trot out the tyros and keep his powder dry for the league visit of Aston Villa on Sunday?

In the immortal words of musical philosopher, Frank Zappa; "Questions, Questions, Questions, flooding into the mind of the concerned young person today."

I say, go for the kill against Manc City. If the job gets done early enough, then out trot the tyros and we spare our Clydesdales to do the heavy hauling on Sunday. If we wind up with a hard fought Cup battle, well, it's not like life in the league table is looking all that promising anyway. Get what we can and deal with whatever comes down the road. We're not ready for life in the Champions League anyway so just battle away to win where we're qualified.

There is no extra time. It's straight to penalties if there's no winner after 2x45 minutes.

Been some reporting/speculation that Dragusin will start. Wondering if we may see VdV at left back, seems a big ask and a bit of a risk starting Udogie again. Not sure if Spence is avaliable or not.

Think we'll see some rotation, but not as much as in the EL games. And some players like Bentancur and Sarr who are close enough to be starting in the league anyway.

Need a good performance and response after the Palace game.

Don't start a new job until next week so making the most of today

Am heading up early afternoon, going to visit the Devonshire in Denman Street as it apparently serves the best Guiness in London
Been wanting to go for ages

Then meeting pals for Steak & Chips at Relais De Venise before heading to the ground to watch us win

Quite pleased of the later kick off time as it gives me time to do the above without having to rush

Any recommendations on food on way up the High Road, apart from Chick King?

Looking forward something different tonight if possible.

City don't have much of a squad anymore and are carrying a few injuries, so Pep can't really play a weakened side unless he fills it with academy graduates.

I expect to see a fairly familiar side from them plus 2 or maybe 3 academy guys. That might include the likes of Bobb who is kind of first squad now anyway.

Yeah I definitely think it will be a mix with a few academy players as they have a few injuries.

They are playing late night game tonight, then Bournemouth away Saturday and then Sporting away on Tuesday so they wont be getting much rest inbetween and I do believe Pep when he says this will be lowest priority game....

I care more about a trophy than top 4 so I hope we go strong in this and take advantage of a weakened City side. Their reserve side beats out reserve side easily.

Our best chance of CL is probably winning the Europa League anyway and I'd rather we got CL by winning a trophy anyway.

We need to be playing

Solanke
I'd go for :

Vicario
Porro Romero Dragusin Spence
Sarr Bentacur Kulu
Johnson Solanke Richy
If Djed is fit tonight.

I would go

Vic

Djed --- Drags --- VdV --- Reg

Sarr --- Bent --- Kulu

Porro --- Solanke --- Richy

Johnson is invisible too often
Romero has to many brain farts, I would sell him if a big offer came in.
Udogie, needs a bench, and Reg deserves a chance, if he plays well, could raise a couple of million on his price and is a natural LB
Porro and Djed can cover each other when we attack and both players can interchange.

Richy on the Left, some of his best games for us, were there.
