***OMT Tottenham Hotspur vs Emirates Marketing Project ***

He struggles one vs one defensively. Other than that really impressive. An 18 year old struggling a bit with that is hardly a shock.

Very impressed with him. Not ready to be a regular starter, but that's fine.
In terms of the in the role of RB, he looks out of place for me honestly. Positionally a bit all over the place and very easy to bypass (and not just in this match). He however does look very good on the ball and fairly switched on. He fits the style of football we want to play although it feels he gets beaten too regularly, he is tenacious. I agree he looks promising but I can see how the midfield and DM in particularly will suit him long-term.

He had a """loan to impress in the Champo""" last year at dirty Leeds, THIS is the season where he steps up after impressing in the Championship.
Bingo, Bullet.

No point playing him anywhere else but in the top flight. And tonight was a real education for him about what this level is about. Yeah, he gets beat in certain situations but overall shows so much poise, positional awareness and ball control that we can't go backwards with him. Onwards and upwards for Archie.

Against one of the best 2 or 3 sides in the world too. It won't get much harder than that for him.
It’s great experience for him, he hasn’t cost us tonight but he’s been poor defensively any time I’ve seen him. The boy will be a player but playing him at right back now is a risk especially when it’s Johnson in front of him who doesn’t offer a lot of help.

Impressed with him? They were strolling past him every time. He's not up to it defensively. Lots of development needed.
True he struggled at at times but second half he mostly pressured his opponent into passing back rather than taking him on.
And as others have said, he impressed in possession.

But not against one of the best wingers in the world. Nunez isn't a winger and never went at Gray with the ball at his feet but he looked like very dangerous at times due to the time and space he had to ghost into dangerous positions constantly.
Grays skill set would be better suited in midfield.
* Doesn't help any RB with Johnson in front of them though.

Just seen the highlights
Any idea who Cuti was marking when they scored?
Cuti was marking the space in front of the goal, and edging towards the front post, so Gray tracked Mcatee's run in, so the goalscorer was free.
There is a tendency for both Cuti and VdV to edge too far across goal towards the crosser, and leave the full back with too many options to cover.

I don't want to get all Graham Taylor and Rob Shepherd.

But I just worry. I really want us to stick with Ange. I want him to stay. I want us to back him in January. I want him to be the guy that buys the players he wants. I want him backed. Even if we continue to have stupid games like palace. I want him to be our guy we back.

I want levy out. I want him to be the fall guy this time.

How do you arrive at that? He was walking around the pitch at the final whistle? I'm guessing two games and international break max.
Because that is the normal time for hamstring injury, and he has history with it too. 4 weeks minimum.
He's had 3 hamstring injuries before and was out for 76, 56 and 18 days respectively.

It is a risk. Seems like a risk worth taking to me. Particularly with Spence still injured.

First-half schooled, second-half really got to grips. Impressive second 51 minutes IMO...I think maybe the big winner tonight is Radu. Taking off Romero and playing Ben as the left-footed CB allowed Radu to be 'the man' in his main position, and he did really well. It is also a reminder to Romero that sometimes a rest is going to be necessary!!!!
According to Ange Romero came off because of fatigue. If so says something about how far he's pushed himself. Copa this summer, playing a lot for us, travels and internationals.

Thought Davies did really well, again. Dragusin better in the second half I agree and had a very good half.
