Did he? Really? Or did he think he was Ronaldinho and ended up like Ronald McDonald?
He has alot of talent. But needs to become a footballer again, not just a showreel.

I don't want to argue with good people -especially you mate- but this bloke has played with a broken hand for the last three weeks, is being asked to play several different roles per week without ANYONE ahead of him who is used to playing with and people want to dig him out? I'm sorry, bollox. I would suggest some context and appreciation of what we have been dealing with as a club versus the easy narrative just because he hasn't jinked his way into sixteen chances.

Who'd be Poch? Kane out, Son out, Lamela, Winks too. Sissoko just coming back from injury. Getting schooled by a very good Ajax team, then your best defender smashes his face on the back of your second best defender. Still have faith though.

It’s almost like he can’t see auras after all

Hopefully SuperJan will be well taken care of.

Keep the tie doable and get a few more back for next week, especially Sonny. We're not done yet.

The Dutch League is not as fast as the premiership. They might high Press over there and get in front and then coast. We are used to playing high pressure for longer. Second half could be ours.
Hope you're right. Ajax are well rested, we've had a very packed fixture list. Big ask from the lads in the second half, but if anyone can get intensity out of them it's Pochettino.

Conclusions from that:

We've been garbage
Ajax are an incredible team and if we can't win, I hope to GHod they do.
I hope Verts is OK.
Is Dele even on the pitch? He needs to step up.
Wanyama and Trippier....
They look very vulnerable at set pieces and occasionally on the break.
Despite all of the above, we're still in this. At this point, 1-1 would be a great result. Even 1-0 wouldn't be disastrous imo considering the circumstances.
Hairdryer needed.

All of this. Hold tight, don't fudging concede any more and nick one or two off Llorente's arse if possible. 1-0 loss isn't a disaster, anything can happen there with Son back in

That was a tough watch.

Probably the worst game Wanyama has had in his life, though he hasn't had much help to be honest.

We have to leave Llorente on I suppose, because the only chances we've had are balls into the box or 1 Llorente flick on. But without the ball, he hinders us so much. Can't press, because it's pressing with 10 men

Glad Sissoko is on. I'd be tempted to get Dier on for Wanyama or even Dele, who is doing nothing and running in treacle.

I would take a 0-1 loss if it was on offer right now. We will need a lot of luck to get past this lot.

As for the game...I expected us to get cut open, and at least concede 1, if not more. Too weak a team out there for anything different.

But what I didn't expect is how shaky they are in the air at the back. Definitely worth exploiting, and I think 1-1 (or even 2-2) is possible.

Still leaves us needing to score at their place, but what can you do.

Sanchez has surprised me this season, he looked like Gough at times last year.

These boys are good and everyone is pointing to them beating Real and Juve. Fair enough.

But remember, they haven’t won the Dutch league in 5 years and they are level with a very ordinary PSV team. We had more to fear from City.

Time to show some balls and make life uncomfortable for them. Someone mentioned Sissokos energy. It’s made a massive difference. Some others need to follow that lead.

Exactly. Get him the ball in decent positions and he's always capable of creating something.

Ajax are, and have been, very good. Not slitting any wrists over this. Can easily get back into this. But desperately need to avoid a second Ajax goal.

Bearing in mind we have built an NFL stadium I’ll be surprised if there isn’t the proper facilities for dealing with concussions.

Moura has been our best player and should keep running at them.
Can't help but thinking maybe our league situation would look a little more relaxed if he hadn't been subbed on a few occasions. I like Moura, he may not be the most effective forward but who has been this season?

Wow.
Allow me to engage in an emotional response during a match-thread live.

I think some of our supporters need to both grow a pair and see things with context.
We have been relying on Wanyama and Llorente in KEY POSITIONS tonight. Yeah. Read that again. And we are only one goal down. A shift in formation and Sissoko on appears to have helped us.

People coating Dele can do one. Sorry. Not having it. You'll see, IF he gets the chance to play further forward, he will have an effect; he has NO-ONE to find up there because there is no fudging movement!!!!!! Now that Sissoko has come on, we have someone who can break the lines and draw people out, it will help Alli and Eriksen. I think we should sub Wanyama for Dier around 60 mins too.

We are still only one goal down.

Show some fudging gonadS and believe in the spirit.
