***OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool***

Table is right .. my point (as you know), is it isn't on the players ..
It’s the players
And the manager
And the football leadership
And the owners
They are the ones accountable
And I was wrong because were 14th
I fully agree our squad is good enough for a club much higher position, but only if it stays fit. That will never happen until the quantity issue is addressed

We should have tried taking Palhinha when that original Bayern deal broke down. Ederson is one of the most complete I have seen recently in that role, yes its 70m to take him but not wanting to pay is not the same as them not being out there. Hjulman is a very good all impact DM. Andrich you would not get now but he is very much the type of player we need and at 30 would be the head you need in the middle with these players.

There are players out there, how ambitious we wanna be to get someone who elevates the team is another argument.
Samuele Ricci at Torino is very good.

Not sure I agree, from a pure numbers perspective, what are we, 2 players from right depth? (LB & RW). You can only register x amount (25?) players anyway

GK - Vic, Kinsky, Forster, Austin (and you have Keeley doing well on loan, with Gunter another potential)
RB - Porro, Spence
CB - Romero, VDV, Danso, Dragusin, Davies (and you have Vuskovich & Phillips)
LB - Udogie, +1 (yes, Davies/Spence can cover but as strait LB)
CM - Gray (he could be here or CB), Sarr, Bentancur, Bissouma
AM - Deki, Maddison, Bergvall
LW - Son, Wilson, Tel (and you have Moore)
RW - Johnson
CF - Solanke, Richi

That's 25 players, and you could shuffle a couple, upgrade a couple, but it isn't miles off.

Here's my point in a nutshell, Fulham beat Saudi Sportswashing Machine on the week-end, their lineup

GK - Leno - both Vic & Kinsky are better
Back line - Ughelumba, Castagne, Robinson, Anderson - anyone here you think better than ours?
Midfield - Berge, Lukic, Smith-Rowe - ?
Forwards - fudging Adama Traore, Iwobi, Jimenez -?

They beat Saudi Sportswashing Machine, Chelsea, drew at Liverpool, drew with Arsenal and are 9th.

Same story, could we buy better? (everyone can), but this side can't be 14th and whimper out of competitions without a lot of that being on the manager ..

A huge amount of Tottenham players you listed aren’t available and haven’t been for months
I believe we have have even played 4 keepers so far this season just as a benchmark ….
So if all of those players are fit I’d be very confident of a top 6 finish and anything above that
As we haven’t had most of those players for a long time and we’re flirting very dead horses I think the comparison isn’t right
And now someone will say but Bournemouth have injuries and look at them. Very true, but as shown before their player with the highest amount of games is at 23 odd

And that is fair

I just don't see evidence of a sustainable, consistent team under current coaching/tactics, regardless.

Like I've said before, if this team was 9th, I'd completely understand, Spurs being 10 points and 3 places off a relegation spot after 24 games? not acceptable

I think it’s very very hard to show anything consistently when every game you lose a player
Richy last night
drago last week
Spence only just back
VDV played 45 and out
It’s mental and some is on ange but there is a huge element of bad luck in the mix too
And the days depth and mix isn’t right … it’s quite toxic Imo
they never planned on Spence covering both full back roles when he handy even made his full debut until December … that’s a shambles in planning
We gambled on not losing Vicario
I also think we gambled on richy being able to string 4 games back to back over a season
Then add the CBS….
Now shall we start on the CF option of 1 and the wide players where we have 1 who is the “dribbly winger” and maybe Kuku too
It’s bad, really bad
You highlighted Fulham earlier and i could tell you their team for most games and I’ve only seen 3 times maybe
We are where we are. We have had some bad luck and some bad performances but it is what it is
I still think the club are banking on Europa and I’ve said that all along. It’s very winnable as it’s a lower standard than the league and you get 2 games every round

He deffo is the Chelsea guy
I checked out his tweets
Has a really odd history with spurs which has weirdly turned in the last 18 months
No idea who he supports but he does cover Chelsea and do their stories… particularly the ones that make their owners more public
ok well i don’t know about his tweets.
As i said he’s a villa fan and also heads up spurs coverage for the telegraph.

Here’s actually a tweet confirming his alliegances
