***OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool***

How many of our team tonight played CL …
Davies … but was the back up a lot too
Bentacur
Sonny and Kulu
They didn’t lay down but some of them were not the ti be counted on either
I keep on talking about our captain and then I get told he is still the best finisher. He was, but now he struggles to finish a pass.
That’s what you’re starting with as your captain, your leader.
We di make things harder for pool Before one of these experienced players gave them the pass
Another experienced player did it too and that killed the game at 2 nil
It’s not the kids or the new signings fudging up as much as the experienced pros
You can throw in Danso, Porro and Tel too. Sarr played in Milan and played well. I’m gonna venture a guess Bissouma played for us in the competition too.

We didn’t have a shot on goal. We didn’t have a spell in the game where we controlled it. It was a semi final. They’re supposed to be competitive. Tonight was embarrassingly one sided. Liverpool missed a couple of other sitters too to be fair.

You do realise there are different roles in midfield?
Bro out here acting like Bergvall is some kind of Kante or Vieira recovering balls left and right and being the wall în front of our defense. He has been average at best and brought almost nothing offensively, hence the 0 assists and 0 goals.

Its not the manager. Our malaise is far more deep seated than this. We have have had the best managers in the world.

But who are we are these days? We are a banter club. The second most indebted club in world football.

Its the top. A man so out of his depth, so devoid of personality. A man with such poor judgement.

Incompetence is his trademark.

But hey! Lets give him another try!

Insanity
yep we have had some of the best managers around ...and they were sacked as well...lol..
seems we can't win...

As has said the deeper issues with the club do lie higher up the food chain, however that doesn’t excuse this shambles of a manager

One of the things I will criticise the club for.

We chose to give Ange time when things get rough, but actual proven good managers like Jose, Nuno and AVB were jettisoned at the first sign of trouble.

Ange has had not far off a season and a half of us being dogbrick.

yeah...well I keep thinking maybe he will be able to pull us out of this hole and I was hoping it would start tonight..what with the new signings..anyhow
you cant expect players to automatically fit in in their first game...
so i cant see him being sacked just yet..lest not forget who we were up against.
I actually think he will be given this season, particularly after his this transfer window and his alleged role in bringing in the players.

Your clutching now even if your right
But as I say when your star men can’t run you have an issue

And not forgetting Reguilon who’s played CL for Real Madrid and ManU plus won Europa League with Seville but nowadays only good enough to start against Tamworth.

there is one other thing as well though..the players we have brought in this season and last keep bloody well getting injured.
Is it just bad luck we have bought a load of injury prone players..

Reggie wasnt wanted by any manager who has been here in the last 3 years
This debate is as bad as the Enic out one that just repeats and repeats every time
No one wants him at the club and he wants to leave to play in a league he can play in
No one is buying Tottenham currently because the value is so high and you would be an idiot to do so
Next…
Should we include Forster because he played CL

You seem like an intelligent man. You write correctly.

Yet your brain cannot join the dots when it comes to Spurs.

Guess we should sign a few more players who excelled at murderball during Bielsa’s time at Leeds, as Archie Gray is the only one of our new recruits who’s survived unscathed. Aside from Kulusevski, Porro and Gray it seems that everyone else in the squad lacks the sheer physical prowess to play Angeball more than 90 minutes per week for any length of time.

BBC Radio 5 Live's Monday Night Club spoke to sports scientist Anton McElhone, who worked for Postecoglou at Celtic and for Tottenham under Mauricio Pochettino.

"At Celtic after six months Postecoglou could rotate the front five at 65 or 65 minutes to keep the freshness for the 60-game season," reflected McElhone.

"At Tottenham he's probably found that a lot more difficult because I don't think the strength in depth is the same as other Premier League clubs like Emirates Marketing Project and Chelsea.

"Look at the evolution at Celtic under Postecoglou, we had a three-month period of sustaining injuries every week, mostly hamstring injuries. We had to get to the winter break to reset."

"As the players adapted to the demands of the system, the game fluctuation changed rather than that constant 'basketball' up and down the pitch, the team was able to control one half of the pitch more. So that stopped the centre-backs having to run in behind as often.

"As the game model and philosophy settled, that reduced injuries.

"At the moment, that is the problem at Tottenham. He has not got the squad.

"They have had a change of medical staff in the background in the last year as well, on top of all the other issues."

I've reflected on it a bit.
And I think we were a bit overawed.
Every time they had the ball we sent 1 or 2 players to jog out and jockey them and try to intercept their pass.
Every time we had the ball they sent 17 or 18 players sprinting into our face to smash us and grab the ball and put us on our ass.

We quite wanted to disrupt their flow, as that would be advantageous.
But if we touched the ball they steamed in like rabid dogs and attacked us until we fell over frightened and surprised.

Rabid dogs against skilful hamsters.

The thing is. For all Levys fudge up on the stadium build. For all the properties they got in our name. And that is serious money.

Ultimately. The brand is Tottenham Hotspur. If they are seen as failures then uncle Joe and his daughter hold on. Why sell now when we are a banter club? Lets just wait. We’ve still make 4.5 billion plus, lets just wait… The asset remains and maybe we will win something someday and the asset will grow. Why rush?

The mugs are still paying.

Why rush?

It’s beautiful. Let the money flow. The fans dont care. Its the best revenue stream ever apart from the land we bought.

macarons keep paying why would we sell?

Stats say otherwise.

If we can accept Southampton have gone. The next 5 teams have a shout to survive. We’re one of them.

Manu have way more better than us.

We need 3 more wins.

Manu aren’t way better than us. They have hardly had injuries and yet look all over the place form wise.

We have many players returning and when they do our form ‘should’ improve significantly.

I’m not sure if lack of champions league experience is a legitimate excuse for that brickshow of a performance particuarly given the overwhelming evidence of the Postecoglu reign.

The players were poor tonight but this performance and this form is not in isolation
