** OMT - Tottenham Hotspur v Liverpool ** 8.1.25 at 8pm

Means we'll have to go there and play to win rather than trying to defend our way through.
Some of our best results have been when we played more defensively and looked to score on the counter. And I think Ange will be more pragmatic in the return leg, given it would mean we get to the final and he can back up his "I always win something in my 2nd year."

Nah, he wasn't in control and got the man, not the ball. Whether it was a tired tackle or the impetuousness of youth, it was a booking.
Not by the stated rules it wasn't. He went for the ball, the opponent got there first and Bergval's slide took his (I think it was) thigh into the Liverpool's player's feet. Nothing at all reckless about that challenge and nothing cynical about it either. Referee applied the laws as he saw fit.

From the first few minutes I have seen Bergvall I saw this kid has quality. And to get him for only 10m, it's such a bargain. Those are the signs of great players, most of them were good immediately. I mean you could see the class or gift that they had. From Bergvall I saw how confortable he was with the ball, having ideas and the means necessary to put them în action. He has the weapons to become something special, hope we encourage him. This was just one goal, he hit it well because he had that technique to do it. He can also dribble and give decisive passes. The rhythm of the PL will be challeging, not much time to think, hope he adapts.
How come this post has no likes? What's wrong with you all? Deserves at least 10.

My thought on this is do your best to capture the moment the ball is kicked. Then draw your two lines, and if it is less than 50cm then don't bother. It's level, and that is what the laws of the game say is onside. It may not be 50cm, and people smarter than me can come up with that exact number that represents a body width. However, not accounting for level is a heinous crime in my book and we have the technology to allow level now.
At the moment, the margin of error from the technology VAR use, is around 35 cm. (two players sprinting opposite direction 30kph x 2= 60kph = 16,6 m/s divided by 50 frames per second = 33cm, then there's also a margin for the exact time the ball is played) Make both lines 20cm thick. If they overlap, then no offside. That should be the threshold.

Are you suggesting your lines are 20cm "backwards" for the defender and 20cm "forwards" for the attacker, hence covering 40cm between them? Rather than 10cm either side of their centre?
