OMT *** TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR V IPSWICH TOWN *** Sun 10th Nov, 14:00 BST, The Tottenham Hotspur Stadium

Arguably we didn't rotate enough midweek.
We couldn't, because the m*rons at the top decided not to include appropriate back up for defence, especially LB and RB...

We do it to ourselves, because being at Spurs, you turn in to idiot and only Poch has managed to break the curse and for his reward, Levy managed to back him with £0 through a couple of very important windows.

You captains should see something and say something

First half I was thinking - are we trying to tire out their press? Or are we not playing out with much intent because Dragusin is not fully in the flow, and Romero carrying a knock. I think it was a combination of both.

But yes, the season is effectively in little chunks isn't it, with international breaks. Every time we get into a run, then run out of puff for the last game in the section.

Tbh, I think we need to sign a couple more quality players, and probably loan out some of the kids too.

League wise Palace/Brighton and today are 3 of the worst performances I've seen by Spurs

Two defeats to two GHod awful sides and a completely collapse.

Have suspected it for a while now. If you were a defender would you like to play in that team under that system?

Only 4 of today’s starters began the game on Thursday.

Was Romero fully fit? Probably not. Son likewise. But I don't think we suffered just from physical fatigue. I think we looked mentally tired. No zip to our play, and then when we upped the tempo we were forced, and lacking something as well.

Our focus and preparation wasn't there for this game.

You have to laugh. We really are a parody of ourselves. Could have gone 3rd with a win. Nearly every time we get a chance to do something we manage to out Spurs ourselves.

Should bet against us every time we have a match like this. Could make a fortune.

It’s not puff
It’s players saving themselves or not committing themselves when they need to
Romero only played because he wants to play for Argentina for example

I mean if we are being realsiitc there's plenty of ammuniton there.

I definently wouldn't say they are 3 of the worst. As in over the last 20+ years of supporting Spurs I doubt it would make the top 100 worst performances for me.

They were however undoubtedly bad.

Might be in the minority but right now I think I would rather have Keiran McKenna as Manager than Ange. At least he ex-Tottenham.

I am not sure how a manager can sit throught that first half and think, okay no changes required I will just send the same eleven out again.

Yes, a tad unlucky with the ruled out solanke effort and that penalty shout for handball probably gets given at Anfield. but still a poor poor display

I think Ange will see out the season and deserves to do so but fair chance he's gone in the summer. McKenna will definitely be in the running, he wouldn't leave mid season anyway now.

And this is the reason the players behave the way they do.

There are a few issues:

- We don't convert enough 'easy' games. We make a meal out of easy games, and expend lots of energy often. Because we are work in progress. But rn we don't tend to win easy. So when a game like this comes around, where the team and management are fatigued after a long run, there is less left.

- We need a couple more players, and we need to loan some (not all) of the kids.

- We need to be more savvy. Whether working the ref (tho I respect Ange's focus on us, and not blaming others etc), being prepared, hustling in defense or winning easy. We are naive at times.

- Bar Solanke, our attacking players are not great at hustling and defending. Kulu, Maddison are too easily beaten. Which puts a lot of pressure on the back line. The system is partly to blame as those players are pressing, so lack a bit of energy to close down when in our final third it seems.

All that said, there are lots I like about Ange, and want him to keep going. His lazer focus. There is a way to play, lets perfect it. That is not to say he can't tweek things and develop. But first lets perfect a system which is similar to Man Citys. We don't have the resources they do. We need more quality in the team. But are going in the right direction. Even though results have not been forthcoming in the league. We've been too reactive, and not always proactive. Making our lives harder. Imagine if we could play like the reactive side from the start, then ease off, and see games out. I think that will come. This side need to mature a little, and need some additions.
