OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v Emirates Marketing Project ** Saturday 23 November 2024

Was interesting that Vic came for crosses, is that because no Romero and vdv?
Is he expecting them to deal with them and they don't?
Yeh I'm not sure but it just seemed more settled and people were clearer in their roles? I mean we still let people be free far post but just felt more assured? We still had moments but I think Davies maybe was indeed the difference and helped Drags? I dunno

The youtube clips I seen of dragu before we signed him he was a beast in the air, haven't seen it here, but he does defend crosses better than Romero or vdv.
Maybe that insurance is helping vics confidence.

When Davies won that header by going over Foden it was a work of art
It’s exactly what I’ve seen Romero do too previously so they can all do it
Davies took charge though
Was accountable
City though…. Had too many players offloading their men like we do when we’re playing bad and it’s a brick way of playing

Bissouma has not been getting enough flowers for this match. He was bloody fantastic, arguably the 2nd best player on the pitch after Kulu. To think he was on a yellow for basically the entire 90 minutes and still never showed away from making the necessary tackles and that's not even taking into account his passing today. Lots of range and pace. I think he's subtlety been largely putting the performances of the first 10 games last season. I do think the balance that is Sarr makes a difference for both Bissouma and Bentancur.

What!? Who? Arse*al in disguise if that's true.
Fans on here saying he will be off to a bigger club
I mean there are some bigger clubs than us but not many
I saw it on X last night and it cracked me up
We want nice things but actually accept that nice things don’t stay here so let’s get that in early it seems :eek:

Other than Galatasary (when everyone was poor), Dragusin and Davies have been excellent every minute I’ve seen them play.

No ego, love defending and they both aren’t afraid to organise each other. One gives the other an instructions and they just do it, teamwork.

I’d be tempted to give Romero a rest. Can’t really drop either of them after a clean sheet at City.

Against gala our set up means we would be over run (I didn’t see it)
It’s no coincidence we changed the game when we added bentacur into midfield

In this very game City had the same kind of chances that have fallen to previous opposition but in this match and the first 15 minutes particular they didn't finish. That's what I mean by the game went our way. Ordinarily we concede first and that always gives us a mountain to climb, yesterday partly due to poor finishing and partly down to great goalkeeping that didn't happen. Once we weathered that initial storm it gave us the platform for the rest of the performance.
That's as it may be, but wasn't there also a stat recently showing we have come back from behind way more than any other team since Ange's arrival?

I think we are 2nd only to City, with 34 points won from a losing position which I'd say shows good mental fortitude because as much as people think we collapse we are actually quite strong when behind.

However it makes life so much easier and more straightforward if we don't concede first.

Apologies if this has already been posted somewhere but this is an outstanding analysis of our inconsistency problem, how to fix it and generally a very good interview

Damn, I haven't seen that. Talk about defeatist, fudging hell. We always go on about how the club and players need to change mentality, well, we as fans certainly need to as well.

he has to earn the right to get that shirt back. No way should he walk straight back into the team, other than rotation purposes
