I wonder if Kyle Walker will look back on his career and say "that was the moment".

Cos honestly, it was the moment - in his prime or even somewhere near it Walker would have matched Werner with the ball.

I remember Verts having a similar moment against Rashford.

He looks done for, a lot of their mainstays are ageing now - De Bruyne, Walker, Gundagon while Silva, Stones and Kovacevic have just turned 30 and they don't really have a huge amount of depth now.

Right now I’m happy that we won but that’s just one match. We need to find this consistency week in week out. Or wins like this whilst enjoyable are empty as they don’t change where we are as a club.

So great result today, some excellent performances, now let’s take that and find consistency that’s a lot nearer to that level week in week out.

I think we're two windows away from that total belief and matched ability across the full squad. While we're nowhere near as bad squad vs style wise as last year (Dier, Hojberg, etc) there's really only Solanke who has come in and joined the first team. We need upgrades to the back up players at 1, 3, 5,(LCH) 7, 9, and need those young players coming through at 2, 6, 8, and 11 to develop to their potential. Finally we need to have a plan for the end of Sonny, which I would say is 12-18 months away. When we have 22 outfield players who can interchange with no impact on the style, momentum and shape of the side, then you will see this style of football succeed most weeks.

We won’t be consistent for a while yet
This team is likely to be very simailr to the one playing Thursday
Fulham won’t be playing anyone and will be practicing all week hitting crosses for fun
That is what is our Achilles heel and it’s why we vary game to game especially after a mid week game

I thought we were excellent blocking crosses today. If we can somehow show the same willingness and determination to do that against Fulham, we'll be allright.
