OMT ** Tottenham Hotspur v Emirates Marketing Project ** Saturday 23 November 2024

Or 4 points off second.

Imagine we had beat Ipswich or palace.

I was thinking that, but then had we won one of those and been in the position whereby beating City means we go 3rd, would we have won tonight.

Its all if and buts, but as posted earlier, we have sort of got back the 3pts we dropped v Ipswich

If we are all honest, you would expect us to just get 3pts from Ipswich (h) and City (a), just the other way around.

The key now has to be getting min 10pts from the next 4 league games (Fulham h, Bournemouth a, Chelsea h and Soton a) before the Scousers roll into town seeking revenge for last season

Had to go out so missed the game today... What a result though... And it makes the loss against Ipswich even more annoying... We could have been sitting pretty in 3rd to night, whith a huge scalp.

Whilst this is a great result, it would be meaningless if we go an lose the next one....

We need some consistency.

Great win, COYS!!
It isn't meaningless whatever the outcome of the next game. We beat city at their pad, somewhere they have not lost in 52 games. That's years of no defeats. If nothing else it signifies the fall of city's current generation, but more likely to me it signifies our players coming of age. There will be other drop offs in performance, but that should be enough to bounce the performance of everyone up a notch every week thanks to the belief it gives the team.

If we can really get our act together we have a decent run of fixtures coming up leading up to the NLD. 5 at home 3 away. The toughest opponents both being at home
We won’t be consistent for a while yet
This team is likely to be very simailr to the one playing Thursday
Fulham won’t be playing anyone and will be practicing all week hitting crosses for fun
That is what is our Achilles heel and it’s why we vary game to game especially after a mid week game

Right now I’m happy that we won but that’s just one match. We need to find this consistency week in week out. Or wins like this whilst enjoyable are empty as they don’t change where we are as a club.

So great result today, some excellent performances, now let’s take that and find consistency that’s a lot nearer to that level week in week out.

Let me spare you the anguish. A lot of the players are young. Consistency will be a problem.

pages 6 and 7 were when we were getting players booked 20 seconds in and Haaland was missing sitters all over the place

the parade happened after that

Football is a game of over 90 minutes and usually in the best games control flows from one team to another, I find one sided games boring, I'd support another team if I just want to see that type of game I like the element of surprise in any game.

Cool.

Nobody is going to pull you up on sharing your opinion of that situation.

The entire point of this site is to discuss what’s happening.

It’s not always going to be good.

And nothing posted here has any effect on the team.
Exactly, and it’s a place where we can let off steam or be sarcastic about our club because ultimately we all want the same thing from football, chiefly an entertaining, successful spurs team

I just find it strange that when the team play away to a team who have made the PL title their own and win by 4 goals you want to focus on the negatives, this is a day to cherish, i except the doom and gloom merchants will have plenty to please them as the season unfold and they can trot out the pathetic "Dr Tottenham" crap in their belief its humorous.

I wonder if Kyle Walker will look back on his career and say "that was the moment".

Cos honestly, it was the moment - in his prime or even somewhere near it Walker would have matched Werner with the ball.
