***OMT Tottenham Hotspur v Brighton, White Hart Lane, Sat April 18th, 5.30pm***

Whatever happens -whatever the FUKK happens- let's give it a go.
Front-foot.
Pick the player that can create (Xavi), just find a way to shoehorn the bastahd in DeZerbi...and make him feel a foot taller and two yards faster, infuse his tea with ecstacy and start singing a song about him being the hybrid of Cruyff and Sniejder with the scoring touch of Van Basten (yes, that's right deZerbi, SING IT LIKE IT'S AN OPERA AND DON'T SKIP THE HIGH NOTES!)...
Force Richy to look at photos and video of OG Ronaldo for 3 hours before KO, all the time with one of the assistants (Salter is it?) screaming at him that he is DA MAN WITH DA FINISHING TOUCH and making sure there's a barber on site to shave his head except for a small triangular patch above his eyebrows...
Tell Danso he has everything Ledders had and more - two functioning knees. No shouting or cajoling necessary because he'll take it right onboard.
Make sure Matty Tel is given a video of Thierry Henry...not playing, talking, so as Tel can absorb the arrogance of Henry and nonchalantly take the tinkle out of the Brighton backline as well engaging in a bit of dodgy basketball to 'score' a goal if need be.
As for Mickey, our lovely Mickey, just remind him that he is one of the fastest, strongest defenders in the league and have him repeat (after you Roberto) a hundred times, 'thou shalt not pass', starting as a whisper and ending in a screaming roar loud enough to shake the gonads off an elephant at a 1000 yards!

ALL OF THEM.
STEP ONTO THAT PITCH AND WANT THE BALL.
WANT THE ACTION.
AND WANT TO SHOOT!

Don't be afraid. Because lads, it's brick and has been brick all season. That's the truth (whatever the context). And a major contributor to the 'being brick' bit has been fear and anxiety.
So fukk it.
Give it your all in the attacking sense. Just go the fukk for it. As I've said for weeks now, this is all about the space above the eyebrows and below the hairline feeling warm, fuzzy, and positive!!!

Get that fuzzy feeling of excitement, anticipation and joy in your collective knacker-sacks and lay the hairy bastahds ON THE LINE!!!!!

COYS!

Can’t you just freestyle that on the glory pod and send it to the club for them to play it before the game. I bet it’d help at least a little bit!

--------------------------Kinsky-----------------------
Porro-------Danso---Van Der Ven---Udogie
--------------------Bergvall-----Gray-----------------
Spence-------------------Xavi-------------------Tel
-----------------------Richarlison---------------------

Let's get some ballplayers in CM and some creativity across AM
For creativity surely you swap Spence for Porro?

Porro crosses diagnally from deep. Spence however can drive like a proper winger.

Watch the Dortmund game back and tell me Spence isnt the best fit winger at the club at the moment
Spence is a better defender, we'll need to him on Mitoma. Porro can still move around a put the crosses in, also has a decent shot on him and is probably a better passer than Jed.
Nothing to stop Spence overlapping when he can and get forward with Porro covering.
As for the  bolded point you make, you may well be right but most of our side looked decent in the European games.

I mean, it was one game against a very accomodating Dortmund side. I am not sure its driving like a proper winger that is our problem but a lack of creative ability to set our forward players up consistently in situations where they can take their man on. That's why you are seeing either the ball being passed back or someone like Muani trying to do too much and running into bodies. Our forwards look crap as they either don't receive the ball or only receive the ball when there's 2 or 3 oppositions between them, the goal or the byline.

It is compounded by poor movement uptop, selection, and a lack of confidence to play at pace and be adventurous as well as aggressive in winning balls back that we lose.

I think the thing is we have to try some things fast because what we've done has not worked. Xavi in the 10, and Tel next to him, being encouraged to shoot too, seems vital. The Spence suggestion comes because he can drive to the line/drive and cut inside, is strong on the ball and is our fastest player (faster than VdV I believe)...with Porro supplying the crosses and passes from deeper areas (without Romero that is going to be important) I'd say well worth the gamble.

Bissouma alongside Gray might be another thing to try, again can be very proactive and aggressive on his day. Certainly more use than Gallagher!

Yeah to all of that. Well in terms of what we do it can hardly be worse than what we've been doing so far.

Bergvall is not disciplined enough to play the pivot role inho. Needs Palhinha next to Gray. Provides extra defensive screening to prevent us conceding.

I had a look at almost (literally) all of our better performances of the season (granted there haven’t been many).

Leeds away
West Ham away
Madrid home
Brentford home
Everton away
Copenhagen home
Dortmumd home
Frankfurt home
Frankfurt away

Anyone know what the common denominator is in all of these games?

Ps. There’s probably only 2 good wins not on this list that don’t fit my criteria - Burnley home and City away….they have their own common denominator which I’ll share after.

Simons started all of those games. The Burnley and City games Simons hadn't signed for us yet....
