Plays in a similar way to what we're supposed to be, yet far better at defending. It's quite astonishing that they are able to compete in Europe, year after year, when you factor in that their total revenue is less than we paid for Solanke.

His philosophy is fine, his tactics aren't. There's lots he could do without abandoning his core principles. It's what good managers do when things aren't working.

I said all along that even when we get players back, that won't magically make everything work again. It will take some time. Changing manager now makes no sense. If we aren't improving the rest of the season, then fine, get someone else in.

Playing better more often. We know this team can be outstanding. It's about being good more consistently. A lot of the things that went wrong today are just players doing absolutely idiotic things, not manager related. Every bit of the first 5 minutes today, was players being macarons.

Months and months.

Then Romero received the ball after 10 seconds, on his left foot, and calmly wafted his left foot at the ball to send it slowly and calmly sailing over Evanilson's head.

But instead he scuffed it straight to Evanlison on the edge of the box, with a free run at goal.

That is what we've been missing. Truly epic that.

We looked solid for the first 4 seconds of the match though, to be fair to Romero.

It is frustrating that we can't see the whole pitch on TV, so it is hard to gauge what isn't happening and what could be happening.

That control come from good management not just because they've play fewer games. They have a smaller squad than us in any case. And they are still in the Cup too. Iraola and Ange were appointed at the same time.

When I've criticized him, it's because watching him live shows you a completely different side to his performances than TV does. This is why I have sympathy for Porro cause he's literally playing by himself.

I don’t have any sympathy for a professional player who can’t make a routine pass… and we have a lot who can’t do that

It was a terrible pass. And the wrong pass to pick as well.

But…

It’s the wrong pass… but almost certainly the “right pass” in Ange’s system.

Problem is that the pass if it’s intercepted as it was leaves a huge space on the right because Ange has insured that porro comes central, and Johnson is level with the last defender. With no number 6 covering

So yes terrible pass. But completely exasperated by a terrible system.

Knudsen would be awesome, but I can't see it happening. Nathan on the Extra Inch said something about him not wanting to leave Norway because of his daughter or something, maybe you know more about that.

He's had two years. We were good for the first 10 games, and have been dreadful and getting worse ever since.

We were lucky in those first ten games. Since then it's only when we play teams having a really bad day we get any kind of result.
