*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v AFC Bournemouth ***

Just mulling this over. How bad/ or how long would it have to be like this for Levy to pull the trigger?

Arsenal sat very low under Arteta for a while.
It’s a really good question. I’d certainly give him the season regardless of what happens. We would have to see some sort of improvement on the last 14 months.

However, I’m not sure Levy is that patient especially if the crowd turns. And the boos were pretty loud last Sunday. We lose to Chelsea and it could turn ugly.

At least under Arteta there was progress. Problem players were cleared out, a style was slowly implemented and results slowly turned around. With Ange there seems to be no progress, in fact we are regressing. If it continues and we go out of the cups in the next two months and no pickup in the league he will be gone. Probably less than that is needed. Especially as it looks like he's lost the players.

First thing I woulde like to see before Ange goes, is teh complete gutting of the coaching staff.

And get some real experienced coaches in that are reknowned for developing players...

None of the coaches we have at that the moment, are developing anyone, eceryone is regressing...

But then... I look at how Djed is ignored, the subs.... The team management...

Sod it... Clear the coaches and Ange...

Just get a manage with an attacking philosphy and let the rebuild continue and continue on from Ange has started.

Then I don't know how you change it. Jose couldn't, Conte couldn't. And Ange won't either
Maybe having a manager really have it his way, for more than 18 months, would help. Posh wasn't an instant success. Klopp wasn't an instant success. Arteta definitely wasn't an instant success. But having someone implement and ingrain a philosophy for several years, usually has some impact. That, is actually the only thing we haven't tried post Posh.

if we were going to do that, it should definitely have been with one of the other two

He has definitely lost the away fans now. I was stood very close to where he came over st the end and it was an odd moment. I couldn’t quite hear him but he certainly didn’t seem to be saying ‘sorry’. Judging by the dire performances all over the pitch he has lost the players too.

I dont think he has any clue what he’s doing. I know people keep saying that there are no obvious replacements but I don’t even think that’s a problem any more: I doubt there’s a PE teacher in the country that couldn’t prove to be a better defensive coach than him.

Yet another false dawn at Spurs. And probably another long night too.

But in this moment in time....they look clueless with every attack we suffer. And that seems to be coaching.

we won't mind losing it's that tinkle poor effort. Like someone said before we have moments of great play like 40min of a game
There was a saying at the "old" forum that bottling/losing is in the walls at White Hart Lane. I'm not into that, but there has to be a common denominator somewhere. With a precious few exceptions, we buy great players and turn them into good players, and we buy good players and turn them into brick player. Is it the coaching? Is it the setup? Is it the overall "feel" inside the club? As I have mentioned earlier, I saw an interview with Steffen Iversen where he spoke about the club being "cold". Not to compare, and least of all at this time, but Solskjær spoke about something very different at Man Utd. Unless they've literally gotten the boot from Fergie, most players don't seem to get enough of that club. Of course winning plays a part in it, but winning is a team effort. Which is why I have no respect for "the best striker in the world going to the best club in the world". But that's just me.

But mostly Spurs seems like a club where you can earn a buck, kick back in the heart of London, maybe get yourself in the shop window and play with little to moderate effort without consequences. If you win it's fine. If you lose that's fine too.

I could get on board with that...

If Ange wasn't so stubborn and used the squad accordingly.

I honestly don;t care if Djed, is not 100% into training.... You play him, so you can keep Porro, fit and top Noch.

I don;t care if Reg is 100% right his attitude... You play him to keep Udogie top notch.... The same with the rest of the player.

And sell the players you don;t want at the end of the season.

But Ange doesn't... He doesn;t make subs when they are needed... Okay, I don;t expect him to get 100% correct all the time.... But top managers make those changes, not leave, bring players on to chace the game with 2 mins left on the clock like he did with Lankshear.... WTF is the lad supposed to do in that time?

Ange is his own worst enemy, I love his philosophy, I love the way he always wants to attack... But you need more than that, and he is not showing it when it is most counted.

Didn't bother watching or listening to the game, I'm not a masochist for Spurs any more. I thought we'd lose and the team didn't disappoint. Have given up my ticket for Sunday. Was amazed that some on here are comfortable with the club building potential in youth players rather than buying players for now. But the sort of players we need to improve us - Anthony Gordon, Grealish - don't come cheap.

Potter is still a top coach and is available.

Another terrible performance and sadly I am starting to question the ability of Ange to turn things round....

That aside, two little things really tinkled me off tonight....

Maddison managed to trip himself up and, instead of thinking to himself that he was lucky to get a free kick and quickly get on with the game, he starts bleating at the ref.... Just pathetic and he was the captain...

Johnson went in for a challenge and the ball rebounded quite slowly towards his head. He just shut his eyes and pulled his head away... No aggression or desire....

I'm not putting it all on those two players but I think those two incidents sum up our mentality...

I dunno. We’ve had our successes too in terms of making players. Bale, Carrick, Berbatov, Modric all came here, developed and went on to be world class players. Tonnes of other examples too of lads who improved here.

OK Angies lost it..

I really would be surprised if he can turn things around this season and not get the sack.
The way things sound on here it would be a Miracle!

We can't keep getting Manager after Manager every other season though can we?
So I'm afraid Levy has to now look in the mirror and ask it's time for himself to go!

I would sell Johnson to be honest.

He knows what the PL is all about, he played in it for Forest, before joining us... He has had more than enough time to know what is required. Same for Maddison.
