There was a saying at the "old" forum that bottling/losing is in the walls at White Hart Lane. I'm not into that, but there has to be a common denominator somewhere. With a precious few exceptions, we buy great players and turn them into good players, and we buy good players and turn them into brick player. Is it the coaching? Is it the setup? Is it the overall "feel" inside the club? As I have mentioned earlier, I saw an interview with Steffen Iversen where he spoke about the club being "cold". Not to compare, and least of all at this time, but Solskjær spoke about something very different at Man Utd. Unless they've literally gotten the boot from Fergie, most players don't seem to get enough of that club. Of course winning plays a part in it, but winning is a team effort. Which is why I have no respect for "the best striker in the world going to the best club in the world". But that's just me.
But mostly Spurs seems like a club where you can earn a buck, kick back in the heart of London, maybe get yourself in the shop window and play with little to moderate effort without consequences. If you win it's fine. If you lose that's fine too.
