*** OMT Tottenham Hotspur v AFC Bournemouth ***

The bottom line is you need a depth of good players.

Maresca. 25 first teamers, and he’s made an impact.
Slot - Ripe team with world class players.

Compare to Ange and Amorin - They simply won’t get the same output from the squads they have.
I'm not Ange out or even Anti Ange but a lot of our players have been bought under his watch. I don't think it's much of an excuse to say he's not able to get performances out of them when he was seemingly happy to have them.

That was complete sh#t from the start,. You are a good person if you can string any positives from that, other than it SHOULD have been worse

The players should hang their head in shame.

Its not the fact that we lost the game, beating Arsenal and United they are proved they are no mugs and we have no right to expect to win there. It was the manner of the defeat and the complete lack of cohesion on the pitch

This guy is completely out of his depth in the Premier Leage, he may well be a nice guy and won things in other leagues, but this competition is different gravy

I vowed to not go to anymore Spurs games while this man is still in charge, and performances like that tonight, just reinforce that choice

The only way we do that with Ange ball is a Qatari buyout and the equivalent of getting Madrid, City or Barca players.
I don't think ENIC/Levy will ever sell since the stadium itself is a huge cash cow. As far as ENIC is concerned, Tottenham can be perennial mid table (or worse) runners as long as the concerts, NFL, etc continue and the money keeps coming in. It would take something enormous from a Qatari or other buyer to convince ENIC otherwise.

I was semi moving towards giving him the season after points raised on here, but he's got to go now.

These performances are woeful

Apparently, when I said we need to back the ManC game up with some concistency, or it was meaninless...

People cried it was knee jerk reaction....

How does it feel now to be so fecking wrong?

Sorry I have been so so correct about a great many things, none of my posts have every been a kneejerk...
The more you watch Emirates Marketing Project the more you have to realise that result was more about how bad they were. Even saying that they could have been at 2 up I. Those first 10-15 minutes...after that they were really poor and have continued to be really poor. It kind of devalues the result tbh.

Yeah, it's pretty worrying.
I'll have to leave this forum for a while otherwise some of the faux-doom merchants will drag me down with their performative wailing
I think it’s pretty justified at present. We have shown very little apart from odd 45 minutes this season.

Ange may be out of his depth ? Ange does probably not have the quality of player needed to play his brand of football at premier league level.

This squad looks to me like a mid table squad. Nothing special in there. Kulu when he’s on maybe. Plenty of good players but not many excite me at all.

This is much better than the 10th best squad in the league. He is underachieving. Results have been pretty similar for 14 months now. Ange is responsible for our current position. We’re not expecting first or even top 4 but 10th is a poor show so far.

We’re in the death throes now, I fear. Lose with a performance like this on Sunday and it’s going to be nasty.

Potter in place by the New Year? Relatively cheap, available, slightly desperate and unlikely to give Daniel a hard time.

I would do it before the United Cup game and see if we can benefit from a 'new manager bounce' (theirs might be waning by then) and see if we can get ourselves in the Semi-final

Agree. He’s culpable.

You are a footballing GHod and we should all bow down to your superior knowledge and the balanced way in which you present your genius points. Please get a podcast going, as I'm sure it will be the top podcast in the world in no time at all.

His tactics at times don't help! And if he isn't the problem, do you mean levy?
No, it's the wildly inconsistent performances from some of our players. Tactics aside, no manager can teach or motivate you to remember the basics of football. This team has shown that they can be brilliant at times. I don't care how much they say they love Spurs and that they feel at home with us on Instabook or whatever, I want to see it on the pitch every single game. Win or lose.

The reason I say Ange is not the main problem, is that we have all seen this movie before. It starts as a hoot, evens out with a few laughs here and there, but it ends badly and you leave sad and depressed until the next movie comes along. It doesn't matter who's the director, it seems. He just has to weed out the actors who can't act or isn't right for the part.
