That Day Z looks decent, read this too "The game attempts to portray an authentic scenario, with the environment having many different effects on the player. A player may receive bone fractures from repeated damage to the legs, go into shock from unexpected ambushes, receive infections from both infected zombies or diseased players, or even spontaneously faint due to a low blood pressure. Thirst and hunger must be regularly dealt with by finding sustenance in either cities or in the wilderness, with body temperature playing another key part in the character's survival"

Sounds good

Other players can also act as bandits and kill you for your supplies. Seems like you can't trust anyone, but would be fun to play with friends.

Sounds to much like hard work to me.

Spec Ops: The Line. If anyone here ever wanted to play a genuinely dark game, then this it.

I bought it because it's set in ruined, dead Dubai, and I wanted to see how that looked.

Early on, I shot a deer and got an achievement. I lol'ed.

That was, quite literally, the last time I laughed in the entire game.

I can't give too much away, lest I spoil it for those who want to play it, but it delves really deeply into the concepts of good and evil, the darkness that hides in the heart of every human (thank you, Heart of Darkness!) and, most importantly, the concept of being the hero. Battlefield, Modern Warfare et al give you an achievement for massacring 700 brown-skinned terrorists and disarming a nuke; this game tries to how you that sometimes, being the hero can lead to horrific, horrific outcomes. Even if you only ever had good intentions.

It's not a funny game, or even a feel-good game. But, if you guys want to play something more philosophical, and more introspective, then this is the game to beat. Great story, great writing, and completely worth it if you've got a few hours to spare on a weekend.

However, it is absolutely not recommended if you just want to shoot some dudes on a hung-over Saturday morning like I did. It will make you weep, I kid you not. :)

i finally went back and completed uncharted 3 last night. excellent series of games. then moved on to williams pinball classics. good fun, if a little clunky in presentation.

Anyone else played the PES2013 demo? All I can say about it is that it's nowhere near as good as FIFA...

It's like a fixed PES 2012 in my opinion. Can't compare it to Fifa, because Fifa is all about sillyness and scoring stupid goals that never would happen in real life. But let's not get into that discussion. ;)

Not played FIFA for a while then

Yeah, I played the Euro 2012 game, but didn't like it. I bought Fifa from Fifa 09 to Fifa 11, but Fifa 11 just forced you to play the same attacks over and over, and you scored all these stupid goals that would never happen in real football. PES has some more randomness, doesn't seem as scripted, get a lot more variety in, in my opinion.

Spot on.

I play FIFA because all my mates do and the online is much better.

Same argument thats been used for five years thats no longer true, used to be a PES man, but it feels like an arcade game going back to it now

ICO & Shadow of Colossus are fantastic. I played them both when they came out for the PS2, but replaying them at the moment. Two of the best games I've ever played, even though they both can be incredibly annoying at times. Recommend you to play them though, and just enjoy the atmospheres in those games, they're immense. You have to be a bit patient though, and know that you're in for something different.
