**Official Other Games Thread, Season 2012/13**

We need a QPR goal so that Wigan don't need to win at Arsenal. They way the scores are now, they do, and if the scores are level near the end of that game. they will have to go for bust and inevitably concede a winning goal for Arsenal.

Does Sunderland being down there benefit us? If they're safe, will they just sit back against us?

I think it's more about the hope for Wigan, not that there's much of that.

Also, if Sunderland need points, will they open up against us? Therefore, potentially being easier to pick off with pace?

We need results that will keep Wigan alive and Saudi Sportswashing Machine in relegation fight. We can take care of Sunderland by ourselves.

Which is exactly what the Arse fans will be saying now if you switched the order of the teams. They'll want Sunderland to have something to play for, but will be confident of doing their own business.

Sunderland can't get caught anyway because of the far superior GD so Wigan have to win both games (a draw and win will not do)

Lol completley wrong.
We need Wigan to not be relegated to have any chance of picking up a point at arsenal.
If Wigan dont get a point against Arsenal then Sunderland are safe anyway regardless whether they lose today.

As others have said, Sunderland will be without their best 4 players. If we can't beat that at home, regardless of the situation they find themselves in, we probably don't really deserve to be in the CL.
