**Official Other Games Thread, Season 2012/13**

Dortmund are just going to lose there good players arent they. Need to stop putting these players on tinpot release clauses.

It's horrible to see from the position of a club like us. We all like to think that if we can just keep on to our best players until we get some success then we could keep them and start a long period of success. But then a club like Dortmund wins the bloody German championship and gets to the CL semis (probably final), yet they are still going to have their best players poached. It really is all about money...

It's ridiculous.

We should be sniffing around though considering the release clauses. Gotze would have done nicely.

If were still in with a chance on the last day I'll be pretty suprised. I have a feeling we will only win one more game this season, and that will be in a dead rubber match at home against Sunderland.

I am a Sunderland fan today. We have to play them last game of the season. A Sunderland win would take them virtually into safety, give hope to Wigan (who still has to play Arsenal), and Villa still has to play Chelsea at Villa Park.

I'm leaning towards agreeing with you. Lads, either set a record points total (reach 71) and make us proud regardless of how the CL race ends up, or fail abjectly and get the hell out of the running in the next couple of games. I'm really not looking forward to another round of last-minute agonies again.

Its the hope. I can see us with our hope and expectations being raised needing to win on the last day and one of the other 2 either losing or drawing. Its another case of setting ourselves up for a fall. I am trying to psycologically gear myself towards expecting 5th to protect myself from the hurt. Sounds pessimistic and defeatist but it worked last year. If we do make it then its a massive bonus.
I just know last day of the season I will be tetchy and snappy with my family and will just have to go off somewhere unless I can manage to get to the lane where somehow I don't feel the same level of stress.

We will be top 4 if we get 10 points from our remaining 4 fixtures. Arsenal won't win out the season and Chelsea has hard matches coming up. It is all in our hands. Have faith people.

I did the BBC predictor earlier and after 37 games Arse and Chelski were on 69 points and we were on 68. I don't think I could cope on the last day of the season if it came down to that.

Dont take this the wrong way, but how did you get Arsenal on 69pts? Think they can only be on either 68 or 70.

I'd love to see QPR or wigan do us a favour but I think it we may be relying on the Toon.
Think United will see Chelsea off this weekend, hopefully we have done the same to Soton. My current Lliywhite specs is seeing a draw next Weds.
Villa could give Chelsea a real game, but ultimately fail and I think we can scrape home v Stoke

Arsenal 37 70
Chelsea 37 69
Spurs 37 69

Saudi Sportswashing Machine 37 37 -25
Villa 37 37 -30+
Wigan 37 36 -24

Could be a very exciting last day

I'm the opposite.

I want Villa to win and drag Saudi Sportswashing Machine right into it.

I'd much prefer them needing the win at home to Arsenal even if it meant Sunderland needing a win away to us. Because I think we would still win whereas Arsenal wouldn't.
