Harry leaves before the end. First task is a new goalie

Considering Cesar and Green are probably on at least £100k a week combined, I think he might have to make due.

Real Madrid have now lost 3 games in the Primera Division this season

The lost 2 in the entire 2011-12 season...

Excellent defending/organisation from Villa-was not luck.

Massive game for us tomorrow, 4 wins in 15 Premier League game is not good enough.

Re: **Official Other Teams & Games Thread, Season 2012/13**

Watching this game, Modric just isn't a Madrid player. Then again if the likes of Arbeloa are good enough I suppose he is.

Well would he kindly do a Keane and come back please? Thank you...

Southampton, right? I wouldn't be too worries about the form you're in, QPR's new boss gave us something like 4 wins in 13 games towards the end of his tenure, but the form we had before that meant that sort of run did relatively minimal damage. In terms of league position, anyway. Point being form can change.

Still think he'll become Alonso's long-term replacement, but if he continues this form, the Madrid fans might not give him that much time. In which case, he'll be sold.

To one of United, Chelsea, City, PSG, Bayern or Malaga, unfortunately. :(

Re: **Official Other Teams & Games Thread, Season 2012/13**

Former Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola has been linked to a shock return to management with the Brazil national side.

Mano Menezes was dismissed from his role as Selecao coach on Friday, and Brazilian newspaper Lance claim a source close to Guardiola said he would "take the job tomorrow" if offered.

The 41-year-old, who won 14 trophies in four years at Barcelona, is currently on a sabbatical after leaving Camp Nou at the end of last season.

But despite Guardiola being linked with a host of European club jobs, Lance's source says the Brazil job appeals to him, and that he could guide the 2014 World Cup hosts to glory on home soil.

"The only team in the world that he would start coaching tomorrow is the Selecao. And he would be World Champion with Brazil," the source is quoted as saying.

Meanwhile, Santos coach Muricy Ramalho, who declined to interview for the role in 2010, has expressed his surprise at Menezes' sacking, though he refused to rule himself out of the running to replace the axed boss.

Alongside Luiz Felipe Scolari, who won the 2002 World Cup with Brazil, and Corinthians manager Tite, Ramalho has been installed as an early favourite for the vacant position.

"It's hard to say, we do not know what is happening [about the sacking]" Ramalho said. "It is a surprise to everyone, the squad was at the very end of the year. If it were in another situation it would be easier to see why, but we do not know what happened.

"It's hard to say, my thinking is at Santos. I have a contract, we are concerned with the game against Corinthians."

The coach added confusion to the topic though by hinting to a clause in his contract which may allow him to leave if approached by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF).

"It's difficult to talk about it. We were taken by surprise. My contract has a clause that Santos wanted. What counts is what we talked about. I left them to decide if something happened, but it's a very big surprise.

"In relation to the contract, that clause is up to Santos to exercise or not. It will be Santos that will define my future in terms of the Selecao. I will not leave without permission, my contract goes until December 2013."

How funny will it be if Guardiola becomes Brazil manager instead of all the top clubs he is being linked with. It will really upset Chelsea ! But just can't see this happening. Don't think Brazil fans will accept a foreigner as their manager. For all the top quality players they produce, find it amazing both Brazil and Argentina always struggling to find a decent manager.

I have to agree that Modric looks out of his depth so far. Early days to be sure but he has had a poor start.
6 month loan with an option to buy?
