Saw Serious Man [2009] last night - very enjoyable dark comedy from the Coen bros - 7/10

Also watched the first James Bond flick Dr. No [1962] earlier - some funny moments and great scenery - 7/10

SAVAGES !! Great Gangsta Flick ! Never heard anything about it just took a chance and it was unreal...benito del toro was great in it ..travolta decent too...pulp fiction kinda feel to it...an oliver stone film !

Sa Skyfall last night - thought it was really good. Casino Royale is superior I think, but much better than Quantum of Solice (in terms of the Craig films).

Agreed. I thought that the first half of Skyfall was excellent and Bardem was a good choice for the villain but the 2nd half of the movie was not quite so memorable and the trailer spoiled a few too many of the action scenes imo.

The Rum Diary- Worth watching for Amber Heard alone!

She is smolking hot, Depp is a lucky sod to be banging that!

...

A return to form for the Coens after the disappointing Burn After Reading, has that unique style of the Coens at their best.

I watched it sunday was excellent

Total Recall - 2012 What a crock of brick that film is. Tries to be Blade Runner in its design and fails. Colin Farrell hasn't put in a decent performance since Tigerland and I don't know why I keep going back! In Bruges is good despite of him, before anyone points at that film as an exception. Don't waste the bandwidth on this latest offering.

Watched O Brother Where Art Thou for the first time, been meaning to watch it for aggggges. Very very good. I forget that Clooney can be fudging great sometimes

Watched Argo up local multiplex this evening, top-notch espionage thriller with some comic good one liners delivered expertly by Bryan Cranston and John Goodman - 8/10

Whilst on Holiday I saw SkyFall, Looper (was still on there) and Arbitrage.

Skyfall had a great first half as has been mentioned. I liked the little in jokes and it being based in London was a nice thing. Second half though just did not have the same kick.

Looper was a generally pretty good. Time travel movies can leave a lot of holes in their plot. And the way they made it still work was pretty good. The ending was predicatable and actually left me a little flat.

Arbitrage i went to as we had run out of movies to see and it was Thriller which my wife likes. Was a good movies all the way up until the end. It just stopped. And although it made some sense it just ruined the whole movie. Was a good watch but the ending killed it.
