we haven't seen a rise of this magnitude for some time and id assume that it would take several seasons before the things you mention fall in line with the extra money

I'm not so sure, it only takes a few players to move for increased wages to set a new benchmark and if we are competing with another Premier League club for a player, they will have the same extra money as us.

Bayern Munich 3-1 Manchester United

I genuinely get the feeling that, despite what others have said before, Moyes' days are numbered. If they go for Van Gaal it'll be fight which is as one sided as it comes.

Agreed, the press will probably whip it up, LVG is sitting there chewing on popcorn quicker than fergie with his gum.
I really want LVG, but if he did go to ManU, there's other candidates that would be an improvement on what we have today.
Rafa, Poch, FDB, I think could all do a job. The one I have a reservation with for some reason is Klinsmann, and I can't work out why. Maybe lack of club experience, not sure.

Just want to remind everyone I chose FSW first. In Benitez we trust.

Facht

The thought of FSW having a breakdown after being taunted by Mourinho fills me with fear and that is before we get to his questionable record in the transfer market and his dour football. It's a no from me.

I'm of the same opinion regarding Klinsmann. He hasn't had a great deal of experience at club level and has been managing the US national for quite a while, I think he's one of those that people speak about because he's ex-Spurs.

Didn't he sign a new contract a couple of months ago??

Klinsmann would be a disaster IMO, he's a long term kinda guy, we need a win now manager, someone who can come in and get all the ducks in row quickly and get us back to fighting for top 3.

Yes but I have heard rumours that he would be open to an approach after the WC.

Baldini's son-in-law (Diego Simeone) is looks like he knows a thing or two about coaching.

Maybe our DoF is pushing Levy to let him keep things in the family?

Klinsmann isn't really a coach. He's more a DoF who delegates all the hands-on training ground stuff.

What about Spalletti? Supposed to know a thing or two about football. And he's available NOW. Get in, I say.

I think he would have come in December if we'd've gone for him - he and Zenit were already in talks about parting ways at that point. Basically, if he was an option then we'd have him already.

I can't understand all the press linking him to our vacancy as a possibility. I don't mean to sound overly critical, but this is a man who has broken into the top two cartel in La Liga and may well win it this season as well as the Champs League. How on earth could we tempt a coach like than in his prime?

He'll screw who he wants, he'll screw who he wants...

I don't think there's been a strong link to Simeone really. And stories were more in December than now.

Baldini being his father-in-law is about the strongest pull we have.
