So, plan b - FDB or Benitez?

Two very different options here then.

A young fresh exciting, huge potential but largely unproven option?

Or an experienced, well-known (strengths and weaknesses) older hand?

Sadly LVG had the best of both of these (FDB's vision and Benitez's resilience), but I'm really not sure what route we should go down now we can't have both.

Re: So, plan b - FDB or Benitez?

I'm a bit unsure about where this idea that Benitez will become available has come from.

Why would he leave Napoli to come to us?

Exactly. Zero chance. Not that I want him at Spurs but we always do this to ourselves with players - delude ourselves that if we want Benitez then its a dead cert that he'll come. Its not. Its very low probability that he'll leave Napoli to join us

Re: So, plan b - FDB or Benitez?

Neither for me I am afraid. But pushed it would have to be the one with Premiership experience.

Re: So, plan b - FDB or Benitez?

FDB all the way for me. Or maybe Potch, but Levy would have to trust and back his vision.

welcome to WHL David fcuking Moyes

he is in Florida isnt he, on holiday....Levy has a home there, its not far from Joe Lewis's place either

just stop it......we are gonna get Moyes

Re: So, plan b - FDB or Benitez?

Can you restart the poll with Poch as a 3rd option? Not saying I'd pick him(I really don't know what to think) but he's obviously a realistic option.

Re: So, plan b - FDB or Benitez?

As FDB was my preferred choice in the first place, this poll was quite easy to vote on

Re: So, plan b - FDB or Benitez?

Why does FdB get elevated above someone like Murat Yakin? I've been more impressed with his work at Basel and I love their style of play. Both would be similarly risky appointments, to dare is to do though, I guess.

Re: So, plan b - FDB or Benitez?

is Levy going to pay Ajax the multi million pound compo for FdB???? is Levy prepared to give Benitez a huge warchest to buy players????

Absolutely agree.

I was gonna have a fiver on Yakin the other day, not in the betting at all, not listed on Betfair either.
