This is so true. Going for a big name and hoping the name alone will win the trophies. If this is the case Levy has learnt nothing from Ramos and Mourinho.
All clubs make transfers on deadline day, that's why there is so much hype around the day on tv. It's just our focus is on Spurs so we notice our deadline transfers more than others.
And just like other clubs, we do business all throughout the summer and not just on the last day.

The good thing about Conte would be that he is the type of personality that will not give one single solitary fudge what people think about him. He’ll walk into Poch’s house and declare it his own, and if it can’t be Poch we kinda need that.
This would be a terrible situation for Potter or even probably someone like ETH to come in, still needing to prove themselves in this league at this level. But Conte will not care what anyone thinks, he will get on with the job and tell anyone who isn’t on board to fudge right off.
