Moussa Sissoko

So if we dont qualify for CL next season will he down tools?
Not that we would probably notice too much with his current form, but early days.

Nah I doubt it

I'm not convinced any player turned up for Saudi Sportswashing Machine last season. He club has been run diabolically and it's easy to blame the players

The choice of managers has been shocking
All players were brought with a view of their sale cost
And the fans turn on the board regularly if they don't speak with the right accent

They made a massive profit on a player that the fans didn't like yet feel the need to moan about it. This is a player that they made a 900% profit on!!!

Sorry @Greg but sissoko is more interested in this song

For your sake you had better hope he won't be hearing much of it because if he is you have big problems.

Nothing against you lot, just this arsehole.

Should have kept his head down and mouth shut and might even have got his move earlier and with little animosity ala Gini Wijnaldum.

Sissoko is a fraud. You shouldn't have bought him.

Despite the idiotic press being fooled by a few good runs with zero end product in the Euro's a see he's continued this form and no assists or goals since April/May.

He's brick.

This has all changed now that Rafa Benitez has full control of all footballing matters at the club.

We deserved what we got previously and the club caused the attitude of the likes of Sissoko in how they viewed the club, but this is changing now.

The only reason for the reaction to Sissoko was him talking brick in the French press every 5 minutes.

As a side bar @Bedfordspurs
Who is doing our recruitment at the club ATM?
Because the Chadli <> Sissoko move does seem very, well 'strange', to put it mildly.
Are we are learning from our past........we are £17m down on that deal and just looking at the money side of things.

Now you have a proper manager in charge things are improving but it too you getting relegated to do that

And we have our best start in years with him playing... Not in spite of him.

I agree we paid more than he is worth but everyone did. Look at the lad you brought from Bournmouth for £12m... He was a reserve player in the prem for the second half of last season and you still paid that amount if money

The fees have gone crazy now and players dictate a lot but that's life

No we're up... We have more points without him!!! That's the fact of the matter!!!

We're a stronger team without chadli and he didn't want to be a reserve.

Chaldi has been replaced by Son... Not sissoko. Chaldi hardly ever played on the right side which is where sissoko plays

That is true, £20M would have been a fair price. Sissoko certainly has his qualities and I've explained that in an objective way here previously but he is a prick.

I loved Chadli, but it was obvious that he didn't fit. Poch gave the chance and option to stay but he chose to move on. No point keeping a player who doesn't want to be here.

Yeah I'd say that is about right on the price.

One early observation I would make is that his workrate has significantly increased. In the matches I saw him play for Saudi Sportswashing Machine last term he rarely if ever tracked a runner back. In this Spurs team that effort level is a given or 30mil or not, he'll be shown the door just like Chadli. Obviously I want to see more going forward but he won't even be on the pitch if he thinks he can coast through games.

His workrate for his in the last six games of season under Rafa Benitez was excellent, as it was in the EUROs.

Before that it was non-existent and tinkled a lot of our fans off. Would you be inspired to work hard for Steve fudging McClaren the useless fudgewitt?

A lot of the attitude I think came from a club that wasn't operating as a football club - we are now. But the mouthing off in the press all the time never helped, he never really had a relationship / affinity with our fans at all. He's a very strange bloke.

I don't think games against WBA are really his thing. He's much better suited to starting against City or other games that are likely to be more open.

I don't think he would have started against WBA if not for our injuries and other selection issues. We had Kane out, Son returning from massive international travels, Nkoudou still early in his settling in phase, Dembele not quite ready to start yet.

He was expensive, a bit too expensive for his limitation for my taste. But he's here now with his strengths and weaknesses.

Its NEVER acceptable for player to mouth off in the press at any point IMO

Its strange with French players as generally they do it in their own country stress in a way that they seem to think will never be found out over here.

And you have hit the tickle my balls with a feather... who would be motivated by McLaren?? Rafa knows his stuff and when he came in took charge an slow and behold, players performed

This is my fallback position on Sissoko. I think he is strong at tracking back but Poch will want more going forward. He is playing like a defensive right midfielder role ATM if there is such a thing?

I'm sure. It was my main reservation before signing him. It was endemic in your team last year but players who only turn it on when it suits them boils my tinkle.

Chaders now plays like a man with something to prove me thinks.

Chadders is firstly getting hames and he is also a focal point in the 8-1-1 formation

He doesn't have to do any hard work in their system and is only required to assist or score

If he carries on at this rate his stats will be the best in the league

I think we undersold him value wis hewn is see what Bollasie went for but its supply and demand and strangely not many sides wanted him

WBA will sell him in the summer for double at his current scoring rate.
Is Poch now in charge of all transfers?

Ha, ha according to him, Chadli was invisible.
