Not the right player for us, isn't really what Poch described and waiting until late in the window trying to get it done suggests it's a panic. 30m is a godawful price for him as well.

Greg is spot on. Sissoko bundles into people and sprints off bouncing around and slashes it goalward. It can be awesome, it can be dreadful. This is not the calibre of player we should be after. Unless he was on a free or some stupid money so we can sit him on the bench and sell him for £12m next year.

Forget the fee or payment structure, where the hell does he fit in to the team!!? He's going to want to be guaranteed first team football surely? But I just can't see how he's going to get much game time given the favoured three are Eriksen / Dele / Lamela. One of those will already be dropped if we decide to go 2 up top with Janssen. Plus we have Son as backup and Onomah clearly liked by Poch. I'm not saying Sissoko isn't better than either of these two, but it is an expensive replacement for a 27 year old.

And we've signed Wanyama - a big strong player for CM. Though presumably Sissoko could be more attack minded.

Just get it done Levy. We lack power and pace in attacking positions. Sissoko has both. He doesnt have cleverness but Eriksen, Lamela, Son and hopefully Nkoudou bring that
