Mousa Dembele

It's bad etc.... But I don't want him made an example of because he is not that sort of player, doesn't have a track record. 3 games if he accepts and apologises and end of.

sadly he does look like "that sort player" - he is a disgrace to the shirt - if he wants to act like a Chelsea player go a fecking play for them!

Are you having a laugh? He's been an credit to the shirt all season and one moment of madness does not make him a disgrace! If anything disgraceful its your comment.

Grab a hold of yourself fella and just relax. You are going way, way, way overboard here. If he had really wanted to properly gouge the guy he would have stuck his fingers in with much more force. He is going to be suspended and punished by the FA and the club will probably discipline in line with their own policies, in private as it should be. He never came out with a chainsaw and decapitated anyone and he didn't set off an IED either. Its being overdramatic what you suggest and quite frankly is exactly the sort of viewpoint that causes issues like this to run and run and gain more traction/publicity.

Should he have done what he did? No of course not, even though the severity of what h actually did is being blown out of all proportion.
Should he incur a ban? Yes.
Should he be fined by the club? Probably yes, he should.
Is he a disgrace to our shirt? Absolutely no way.
And I would expect to hear his song being sung loud and clear, over and over on Sunday.

That's a bit over the top (maybe a lot).

I know you're also of a better vintage than a lot of our fans - did you ever used to play much? If so, I'm sure you remember metal studs and scraping them on the path as you walked to get the edges nice and sharp. What about coaching like "The ball or the man gets past you, never both"?

Out of character for you this one, I wouldn't judge you on one very rash, very over-stated post personally...by the way, I wonder what it's like to be pinched and pulled? That was what was happening when he put his hand in Costa's face. Not clever but to say he is 'that type' of player is absolutely off-base.

No I did not say that at all, the point I was making is that a lot of fans will blame refs even before the game kicks off. Be honest how many times do we read pre match threads and see the complaints about refs even before a ball I kicked. And anyone who has played football at any level will have been kicked, fouled etc without the ref doing anything. Did it not happen to you? I know it happened to me and I still have the scares to prove it and if any one who has played the game turned round to me and says they have never done a illegal tackle or whatever on a football pitch they are not only fooling themselves they are telling untruths.

Fair play mate, thanks for explaining, cannot disagree. Yes, I still get elbows, I always let them know in return, usually via a '50/50' which goes 70/30 and some words as it happens!!!!!

What he did was indeed a disgrace to the shirt, no getting away from it, and none of us want to see Tottenham players descending to that level. But I don't get that he looks that sort of player. I could be wrong but I do not recall any occasion he's done anything as out-and-out nasty as that before.

Not excusing it but Stamford Bridge WAS a boiling cauldron of hate Monday night and doubtless he was being riled to distraction by that clam Costa. As a result he lost it for one mad moment and probably doesn't know what came over him.

Time to move on.

Well I was always taught to get my retaliation in first ( ie do unto others what they would do to you but do it first) :) and I usually did. true story here I did come unstuck towards the end of my playing days ( 46 was my last year of serious football) I was by then playing at FB ( easiest position for a old fart to play) I was up against some young speedster who after leaving me for dead on a couple occasions used to go beep, beep ( remember the roadrunner) anyway toward the end of the first half I managed to get to him and launched him over the touchline and onto the next pitch, I went over to him apoligising loudly so the ref would hear me and think it was a accident. But as I put my hand out to help the kid up ( who was rolling about with tears in his eyes) I whispered in his ear " beep, beep now you bastard" He eneded up being carried off and I got the red card.

Really not sure I understand a lot of the comments post the Cheat$ki game ..

- Did some of our player get wound up by a combination of cnuts like Costa/Fibreglass/etc & the day/moment = yes
- Did some of it cross the line (slightly) from what we expect of our players = yes

However, I would rather watch a dozen such games a season and except that behavior than the years of spineless/couldn't give a brick about the shirt type players/performances we have had to endure.

I leave this season regardless of result confident that our guys leave it all out there, they give it all, and yes sometimes that will mean they slip over a line of expected behavior, I accept that, applaud that vs. teams like Villa/Saudi Sportswashing Machine/City who have shown all season what players who don't give a fudge, won't get in trouble can look like.

I've never seen Dembele so pumped for a game. He lost it with Mikel quite early on. So unlike him, usually calm.
Again, I kind of loved it. All goes back to this connection we feel with the players at long last. They feel what we do... Plus more. Crazy bast*rds

Both I agree

We had players wound up like a spring and others that backed them up and took something out in Chelsea

I love the fact that we were not weak in the physical side but we have to learn to control it much much better

I think that was because Mikel threw a casual elbow at him. And then looked to slap him as the Moose told him so. I have little doubt that Hazard's prematch comments played into it, let alone Fabrekunt...

I would rather not watch games or incidents like Mondays, but when they do happen I expect equal treatment from the relevant authorities.
Ok, ban dembelle for 10 games, but when happens next by skertl, Huth, Adam, cattermole etc they better get 10 game ban as well. And if they don't my lawyers will be into see you.
