Modric - No Longer A Spurs Player

Believable?

The line me and little luka have come up with is that we don't know what is actually going on, so people should stop making rash statements. I'm not sure what is unbelievable about that.

Just out of interest, are you one of those who still believe that Berbatov didn't refuse to play either?

Do you think it's a coincidence that this situation has arisen TWICE, both during periods when the transfer window is open?

Would Luka go to PSG?

I don't think so - they'd have to offer him a lot more money than the likes of Chelsea or Real. I genuinely think he wants to move for a better chance at Titles/Trophies than being after a pay rise (obviously the two pretty much go hand in hand)

They'll be a major force within a couple of years.

They'll tinkle the French league for the next for years.

But yeah at this moment in time, Madrid would be his best option. I'm just wondering who is going to make way for him. He'd have to play in either Alonso or Khedira's positions, can't seem him displacing them, or in Ozil's position behind the striker, and he ain't gunna replace Ozil.

4 players fighting for 3 spots will work quite well over the course of a season with Real Madrid playing around 60 games.

My bet is that we're trying to force Alonso out of the deal, that the player (if he agreed to leave at all) would rather go back to Liverpool, but we're hoping. WHjo really knows?

1. Would never fit our wage structure.

2. He's 30, hardly the age of player Levy likes signing.

3. He could do far better then Liverpool or us.

Other then that we've got him.

Some reports suggest they were trying to get Carvalho and/or Sahin into the deal.

Alonso? Oh GHod. Any 1st team Madrid player is off limits for numerous reasons so why do they keep being mentioned? If Luka goes to Madrid then it'll either be in place of Khedira for most games, or replacing di Maria with Ozil shifted to the right.

That would be a bad idea IMO, Ozil is better than Modric.

Who knows what his motivation is. Last summer all we heard about was how much he loves London and how he wants to stay in London. This summer he's settled on Madrid.
