What are we gonna do if he comes back and it all goes tits up? I'm not sure if I can handle him failing.

It's a possibility. A strong possibility. Our inability to truly compete goes much deeper than the manager.

But the excitement of him coming back. Welcoming him for that first game. The prospect of exciting football. It's a short term sugar buzz but, right now, supporting Spurs is so utterly devoid of joy that I'd take it and let what happens happen. His legacy won't be tarnished come what may. Similar to Bale I guess in many ways if he fails...I still absolutely love Bale and remember him as one of the greats rather than the shadow of a player that returned.

Yep, There's always that niggling feeling... That awful final year, not winning away in forever, playing that useless diamond formation, the bad subs etc. We need that early, hungry, passionate Poch not the disillusioned one he was at the end

Same. We have to give Poch the chance to come back and re-ignite us, if he's up for it!

I’m sure he’s learnt a few things since we departed.
I would love him back tbh. 3 years from now, we’ll probably be in the same position at best, irrespective of the manager, under the current regime. But Poch will hopefully have us playing higher up the pitch and better to watch!

Memories.

still hurts seeing what Dele Alli was to nowadays. In the dream world Pochettino would bring him back and rebuild him (Like Apollo Creed with Rocky)
When poch's detractors say he "lucked" into a great, hungry squad of players, I always think it's such a one dimensional view of his time at Spurs. The number of players the guy got to perform to their highest level who then failed to have any impact under more decorated managers, Rose, Dele, Sissoko, Winks. These are the guys who took us to a Champions League final and helped us finish 4th. Even Ndombele in the few games he played under Poch looked better than he did under subsequent managers. That's why, for me, he was successful at Spurs where previous and later managers failed. He has a talent for getting inside the heads of often troubled players who other managers can't work with and get them to focus on football. I didn't really see that in Conte or Mourinho. Whether or not he comes back doesn't change the view for me that he is a special manager.

I'd bet there's a few who thought poch leaving would lead to better things would love to work under him now, and not just our players, look at the Southampton players that left and never looked the same.
