Mauricio Pochettino - Sacked

We always live in the past but not in the same way other clubs do. Liverpool and Arsenal fans always talk about their past success but we always talk about past managers and players when ever we lose a game.

Anyway. Let's draw a line under this conversation in this thread. There is an AVB thread in General Football that is feeling neglected and overlooked. I suggest you the discussion carries on there if you are so inclined.

All good points by Poch. What I didn't see this game, however, is the high pressing. Instructions by Poch so there's not so much of a physical toll on our players?

Got to try and find a way to beat the Canaries and the Hornets next, we need to put a winning run together and keep playing like a top 4 side.

Pleased that Poch and his players reacted like that after Saudi Sportswashing Machine, need to try and get another striker in January and we have a great chance this season.

Interesting on the audio above, Poch talks about struggling to manage the game for the first 20 minutes. That is the right phrase, manage the game. We were well in control til the last few minutes when they threw caution to the wind.

He also talks about changing position to confuse the opponent.

think the flow of the game was

- us trying to get a hold in game for first 25 minutes (SCBC rushed us out the blocks)
- We then took our chances very quickly
- 2nd half we played within ourselves, partially because the lead allowed us, and partially to make sure we didn't overcommit and do something silly.

Was a managed game, not always pretty, but was effective and if it allows us to have a little less toll on players .. bonus ..

great defences win leagues

Defense aside we play some beautiful attacking football. Lots of lovely passing and movement. I would say we are the most complete side in the league right now and it's very scary. Naturally I expect it all to fall apart. As should all of you. Any feker talking about titles and other jinx type nonsense should be censored. As Milo has indicated above. Let's enjoy this quietly.

Lets not. Let's enjoy it for what it is and when it ends so be it. I find all the talk about under the radar, jinxes and what not a bit funny. Being a Spurs fan is a hard slog at the best of times so take your victories and enjoy them when you can as tomorrow is promised to no one.

I get what you're saying but I'm still traumatised about what happened at the end of the "Mind the Gap" campaign, so shan't be crowing until we have actually achieved something this season.

Hopefully an end to this wretched quarter century wait for a 9th FA Cup or a first European trophy since 1984, to herald a return to the glory days.

Now that is such a good idea
