I seriously don't understand this.oh well.
I think we have a lot of players who have more ability than their performances have ever shown

Personally I'm still utterly unconvinced by Poch but feel we have to give him time. I think it's ridiculous who he gave the captaincies to, I think it's ridiculous how long it took him to realise kaboul and Ade were awful, and fear the bust up is the only reason they'r not around now and not because they're crap - if there wasn't a bust up would they still be playing?!? I think we've been pretty much terrible bar qpr, arsenal, city and the first half against burnley.
I really don't like the way he drops Soldado after he scores when he's clearly a confidence player. I don't like the way he can't see Kane works better BEHIND a striker, don't like the way he thinks Mason is good enough for our squad never mind the first team. I HATE the way he doesn't seem to try and change games, we get battered and he sits back and watches and hopes for the best. That's what harry used to do, he had no clue tactically either...
I find everything really worrying and feel like we're suddenly accepting of being an average premiership team praising players because they "work hard" and not expecting much of us...
Every game I expect us to click, every single time, and I think it about Chelsea, and every game I watch truly awful football. Awful. Create nothing, don't control games, rely on Hugo far too often. I find it all a bit embarrassing to be honest.
He doesn't try to change games? Really? What was your opinion in the United game at half time? Did you think we changed in the second half? Just because he doesn't make the moves you want, or just because he doesn't make subs doesn't mean he's not changing it.
Grimsby I can understand where you are coming from, I don't disagree with a lot of it, but when you dial everything up to 11 out of 10 and scream your woe from the rooftops it creates tension and backlash and conflict. Try dialling it down to a 3 or 4 and having a sensible discussion about it. Steaming in with tears in your eyes, makes people come out swinging.
Brain - that is a good example, half time against Man Utd. We were getting dominated and something needed to change. Bizarrely Poch seemed to make a huge change at half time as it was a totally different game from there onwards... so do you credit Poch with changing it, or wonder why he didn't change it the same way after 20 or 30 minutes?
I was calling for a substitution because it seemed Poch couldn't change it, we were clearly about to concede... but then after half time it was a total change.
Or maybe LVG changed something we didn't notice, like the way the wingbacks were playing or whatever.
So essentially you don't like the points he seems to disagree with you on?
Not sure it's a great idea to expect us to click every single game, and even against big teams. You're kind of setting yourself up to be disappointing and our manager up to fail. It's a gradual process, we've seen good and bad performances and we've seen good and bad patches. We were great in the opening 20 against Chelsea last time we faced them, good against Saudi Sportswashing Machine in the cup, but poor against Burnley. Poor against United first half, rather decent at least second half. And so on and so on.
There's bound to be inconsistency and I think a healthier viewpoint is to expect us to struggle a bit, expect inconsistency, and look at the good patches as a sign of what's to come.
One point out of the many you mention (most have been discussed ad nauseum I feel). He doesn't try to change games? Really? What was your opinion in the United game at half time? Did you think we changed in the second half? Just because he doesn't make the moves you want, or just because he doesn't make subs doesn't mean he's not changing it.
I guess I don't see it as inconsistent, I think we've been pretty bad most games this season, with no signs of becoming a cohesive unit. We're half way through and still struggling through every game in the lewgue. Even burley, palace etc.
As for changing it. I don't t feel he did change it, I feel Man U got tired, which gave us a touch of mental strength and belied. Maybe I'm not giving poch credit as I've certainly blamed him when we've come out at half time infinitely worse than the first a few times.
I really hope once he gets his players it'll all start to fall into place, but with ru ours of Danny Ings, Delph etc I just roll my eyes thinking "WE'RE NOT SOUTHAMPTON POCH!!!!!!!!!"

I guess we can say he's got his "iconic win" now.
I have had my doubts about this guy but he is showing signs of having a great understanding of football.
What I think we should all be aware of is how some are ****ging off Martinez and Rodgers despite the fact that they are clearly good managers. I do not think the is such a thing as a messiah manager but having a "system" manager can really help a team. I feel even though I disagree with him at times that Poch is our first tactical competent manager since Hoddle.
Given the strength of the opposition, I think that's the best performance I have ever seen from us (first live game was in 1994). I know we let in a few, but we really deserved that win. Fantastic!
