Mathys Tel

I know it’s only half a game in terrible circumstances and he’s 19… but judging last night purely at face value, I was surprised by how slow and unfit/lacklustre he looked!

I was expecting him to press more, and he didn't look particularly quick, but as you say, not exactly great circumstances to play in, especially on your debut. Will be exciting to see when he adjusts more.
 
Confirmed Tel will decide
I will guess he won't join if we don't have Europe

Gonna be a tough one today if he is chosen to play number 9. It's even possible that Scarlett is more ready for the buffeting you get from those Villa centre halves. Has to be one of these 2 young guys though. The thought of Sonny bottling every challenge is not a pleasant one.

I want it to be Kulusevski, and then get Tel, Son, Moore or Bergvall (depending who plays) running off him.

That’s his first goal of this season and the first time he’s completed 90 minutes since last May, so hopefully Tel will get some confidence plus sharpness back and show us what once made him such a hot prospect.
