You've also got to factor in their new manager only started a few weeks ago and Kovacic is probably only returning from world cup duty next Monday.
So that's 4 days for Lopetegui to decide if he prefers Kovacic or Ceballos as primary back-up to Modric/Kroos/Casemiro etc., if he's going to be available to an EPL club.
